Common use of Unused PTO Days Clause in Contracts

Unused PTO Days. At the end of the contract year or retirement, individuals who are covered by benefits (cafeteria plan) may use unused PTO as follows: a. Unused days may be added to each Education Assistants previously accrued PTO balance. b. Up to three (3) unused PTO days may be sold back at the rate of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) per day in a lump sum payment if an Education Assistant’s accrued PTO balance equals thirty (30) unused days or more. c. Up to an additional three (3) days unused PTO days may be sold back at the rate of one hundred fifty dollars ($150) per day, in a lump sum payment if an Education Assistant’s accrued PTO balance equals sixty (60) unused days or more. d. Up to an additional two (2) days unused PTO may be sold back at the rate of one hundred fifty dollars ($150) per day in a lump sum payment if an Education Assistant’s accrued PTO balance equals seventy (70) unused days or more.
