Common use of Use of Compensatory Time Clause in Contracts

Use of Compensatory Time. Employees requesting compensatory time off with fourteen (14) or more calendar days’ notice to the Appointing Authority shall be permitted to use such time if it does not unduly disrupt the operations of the Appointing Authority or require payment of additional salary costs. Requests for use of compensatory time off with less than fourteen (14) calendar days’ notice to the Appointing Authority or for weekend shifts may be granted at the discretion of the Appointing Authority. The Appointing Authority may schedule an employee to use time in the compensatory bank by written notice to the employee at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the specified scheduled time off. Every reasonable effort shall be made by the Agency to schedule use of compensatory time off at a time agreeable to the employee insofar as adequate scheduling of the work unit permits.
