Use of Other Leave. An employee must use all accrued sick leave and annual leave before being eligible to use shared leave. An employee is not required to completely deplete their accrued leave balances to apply for shared leave. An employee requesting shared leave due to being called to serve in the armed services need only deplete their annual leave and paid military leave before taking shared leave.
