Disability Payment. In case of a work incapacitating injury or illness for which a unit employee is or may be eligible for work disability benefits under the Michigan Workers' Disability Compensation law, such unit employee, with the approval of the Appointing Authority, may be allowed salary payment which, with the work disability benefit, and any other statutory benefit, equals two-thirds (2/3) of the base salary or wage. Leave credits may be utilized to the extent of the difference between such payment and the unit employee's base salary or wage.
Disability Payment. If an employee is absent from work due to a disability resulting from an injury or illness compensable under the Michigan Worker’s Compensation Act, such employee shall be paid the difference between his daily disability benefits received under Worker’s Compensation, not to exceed eight (8) hours of straight-time pay per day or forty (40) hours straight-time pay per week from the Employer, with such additional amount to be deducted from the sick leave plan, to the extent of his accumulated credits.
Disability Payment. 27 In case of work-incapacitating injury or illness for which an employee is or may be eligible 28 for work disability benefit under the Michigan Workers' Disability Compensation law, such 29 employee, with the approval of the Employer, may be allowed salary payment which, with 30 the work disability benefit, equals two-thirds (2/3) of the regular salary or wage. Leave 31 credits may be utilized to the extent of the difference between such payment and the 32 employee's regular salary or wage.
Disability Payment. In the event of an injury or illness for which an employee is eligible and receiving a work disability benefit under the Michigan Workers’ Disability Compensation Law, such employee shall be provided salary payment which with the work disability payment equals two-thirds of the regular salary or wage for the first 50 weeks of disability. Leave credits may be utilized to the extent of the difference between such payment and the employee’s regular salary or wage. The Employer will consider, upon request, extending approval of the supplemental pay beyond 50 weeks consistent with current practice. Approval of any supplement is limited to a combined total of 100 weeks.
Disability Payment. In case of work-incapacitating injury or illness for which an employee is or may be eligible for work disability benefit under the Michigan Workers' Compensation law, such employee, with the approval of the Employer, may be allowed salary payment which, with the work disability benefit, equals two-thirds (⅔) of the regular salary or wage. Leave credits may be utilized to the extent of the difference between such payment and the employee's regular salary or wage. An employee shall designate his/her option of leave usage which will be effective with the current claim period. This will take effect the pay period following notification of the change and will not be retroactive. Changes to designation of leave usage or non-usage are permitted. In addition and only in accordance with applicable statutes, an employee who is disabled from employment as a result of assault by a prisoner or patient, or in the course of quelling a prisoner or patient riot, shall be maintained in full pay status, without loss of benefits, for the period of such disability, up to a maximum of 100 weeks. Prior to the expiration of such period, if the employee continues to be disabled, the employee may request an accommodation pursuant to the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act. If such request is made, the Employer will grant a medical leave of absence for the time necessary to process the accommodation request. In the event an accommodation is not granted, the employee may elect one of the following options:
1. Retire, if qualified pursuant to the applicable retirement statute provisions; or
2. Resign, in which case the employee shall receive payment for 100% of any annual leave balance and, if hired before October 1, 1980, receive payment for 50% of any sick leave balance; or
3. Exercise the right to a waived rights leave pursuant to Article 19, Section I. of this Agreement, in which case the employee shall receive a sick leave payoff pursuant to Section D. of this Article, and payment for 100% of any existing annual leave balance. If the employee does not exercise one of the options above, he/she shall be considered as having voluntarily resigned. An employee disabled for 50 weeks or less may be entitled to a medical leave of absence in accordance with Article 19.
Disability Payment. In case of work incapacitating injury or illness for which an employee is, or may be eligible for work disability benefits under the Michigan Worker's Compensation Law, such employee shall be allowed salary payment, which, with his/her work disability benefit, equals his/her regular salary or wage. Board paid insurance premiums and other board paid benefits for individuals receiving worker's compensation benefits will be limited to not exceed one year commencing with the beginning of the 2001-2002 school year. Sick leave shall be utilized to the extent of the difference as permitted between such payment and the employee's regular salary or wage. Upon exhaustion of sick leave accumulation the differential payment shall be discontinued. When a doctor releases an employee to return to work, the employee will be reinstated as soon as possible.
Disability Payment. In the event that benefits become payable due to a Total and Permanent Disability, the benefit (which is fixed as of the date of Total and Permanent Disability), will be payable as of the first day of the month coincident with or next following the date the Executive is determined to have sustained a Total and Permanent Disability.
Disability Payment. In the event the Executive suffers a Disability prior to March 29, 2028, the Bank shall pay the Executive the benefit under this Section 3.5 in lieu of any other payment hereunder. The Bank will pay the Executive, as disability pay, a monthly payment equal to the Vested Account Balance divided by thirty-six (36) (the "Disability Payment"). These Disability Payments will commence six months following the date the Executive's employment terminates due to Disability and will continue monthly until the earlier of (i) the date Executive returns to the full-time employment of the Bank in the same capacity as he was employed prior to his termination for Disability; (ii) the date the Executive begins full-time employment with another employer; or (iii) three years from the date of the first disability payment under this Section 3.5 (and to clarify, three years of payments will equal the Vested Account Balance). If the Executive dies while Disability Payments are being made under this Section 3.5, the remaining payments (the portion of the thirty-six (36) payments not yet paid) shall be paid to the Executive's beneficiary in the same monthly schedule as paid prior to death. If the Executive receives Disability Payments under this Section 3.5, and the Executive returns to employment with the Bank, the Executive shall not be entitled to any further payments under this Agreement.

Disability Payment. If Employee incurs a Disability, the Company shall pay to Employee an amount equal to 8 months of Employee’s base salary using Employee’s highest monthly base salary during the term of Employee’s employment (the “Disability Payment”) pursuant to Section 6. As an additional component of the Disability Payment, the Company shall pay the applicable premiums for COBRA continuation benefits under the applicable Company benefit plans, on a monthly basis beginning with the effective date of Employee’s loss of coverage by reason of Employee’s Disability and continuing until 12 months following the date of Employee’s Disability.
