Use of Vacation Leave. 1) A minimum of five (5) vacation days must be taken each year. Vacations will be scheduled to avoid multiple employees taking vacation atthe same time and to insure a reasonable staffing level. Scheduled vacation leave which is cancelled due to operational reasons shall be rescheduledprior to the end of the year. 2) Vacation leave may be taken only to the extent that it is actually earned. 3) Vacation leave must be approved by the Deputy Chief of Police.
