Vacation - Payment at Separation. Employees who separate employment shall be paid for all accrued unused vacation leave. Payment shall be made at the base pay rate and shall include the five percent (5%) longevity pay.

REGULAR EMPLOYEES A regular employee who separates from employment will be paid for any unused accrued vacation in their final paycheck, subject to the applicable vacation accrual cap of two-times their annual accrual rate; or three-times their annual accrual rate if the employee gave notice of their intended retirement date during the last five years before retirement (i.e. “use it or lose it”).
