Common use of Vacation Utilization Clause in Contracts

Vacation Utilization. Employees may request vacation utilization, which shall be honored only after prior supervisor approval. Employees should try to avoid using vacation during work days for which students are in school. Requests for more than four (4) consecutive days of vacation must have supervisor and district approval prior to utilizing leave. If an employee wants to change his/her work calendar, the employee must obtain supervisor approval prior to making the change and prior to the day(s) in which the leave was to occur.
