Vaccination Appointments and Reactions. Employees will utilize their own available paid leave entitlements to pursue vaccination appointments or if they are unable to work due to a medical reaction from receiving a vaccination. Leave without pay will be granted for these reasons if an employee has exhausted all of their paid leave entitlements.

  • Medical Appointments Medical appointments may be charged to sick leave, provided the minimum time charged is not less than one-half (1/2) hour. Each absence shall be reported separately and authorized in advance by the employee's immediate supervisor.

Such appointments shall be at the same rank, of the same type and with the same salary rate, in the Academic Departments or Faculties concerned. When sound academic reasons exist for doing so, a Faculty Member may be appointed jointly to an Academic Department and to a non-academic unit within the University.   • Non-Promotive Appointment 254. An employee or officer who is a permanent appointee following completion of the probationary period or 2,080 hours of permanent service, and who accepts a non-promotive appointment in a classification having the same salary grade, or a lower salary grade, the appointee shall enter the new position at that salary step which is the same as that received in the prior appointment, or if the salary steps do not match, then the salary step which is immediately in excess of that received in the prior appointment, provided that such salary shall not exceed the maximum of the salary grade. Further increments shall be based upon the seniority increment anniversary date in the prior appointment.
