VEHICLE AND EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS. All vehicles shall be maintained in proper working order, prevent leaky seals and hydraulics, and be as clean and free from odors as possible. All vehicles shall be clearly identified with Contractor’s name on the vehicle. The Contractor shall supply a hook lift roll off dumpster in the event the County/City provided one is full or unavailable at time of unloading.

VEHICLE AND EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS. PROVIDER must have available at all times a minimum number of fully-equipped Type III ambulance units defined as 133 percent of the number of units required at the peak load in the SSP. PROVIDER must replace ambulances when they have reached 200,000 miles. Each vehicle must meet Federal KKK-A-1822D, E (or the latest revision) standards or equivalent, at the time of original manufacture. Each vehicle shall have a standard floor plan, approved by COUNTY and compatible with Type I, II, III KKK models. Each unit should be a Type I, Type II, or Type III model, as defined by the above standards. The vehicles’ floor plans and maintenance programs must be approved by COUNTY. Each vehicle must have a minimum interior height to allow for up to two (2) stretcher patients per vehicle. Each vehicle must have markings approved or designed by COUNTY and must include 9-1-1 emergency telephone number advertising. Each vehicle must meet State of Oregon and Multnomah County ambulance equipment standards. All required equipment and supplies (e.g., drug boxes, defibrillators, airways, and handheld radios) must be supplied at 110 percent of peak-load requirements. PROVIDER must assure that each ambulance is stocked with personal protective equipment (PPE) as specified by the Medical Director. PROVIDER must provide and restock drugs and expendables as needed. Each ambulance must be licensed in Multnomah County; the annual fee is $250 per ambulance. Each ambulance must also be licensed by the State of Oregon; the current annual fee is $80 per ambulance. The ambulance agency must be licensed by the State of Oregon; the current annual fee is $250. Annual fees are subject to change.
