Vertical Movement. Vertical placement and movement on the salary schedule is determined by years of teaching experience. Each year of satisfactory teaching service in the Wilmington public school system shall entitle a Teacher to advance one (1) step and only one (1) such step in any given year. Any course work must be submitted to and approved by the Building Principal, Assistant Superintendent, and Superintendent for approval prior to enrollment.
