Voluntary Reduced Workweek. Subject to the approval of the Appointing Officer, represented attorneys may voluntarily elect to work a reduced workweek for a specified period of time. Such reduced workweek shall not be less than twenty (20) hours per week. Pay, vacation, holidays and sick pay shall be reduced in accordance with such reduced workweek. Subject to the approval of the Appointing Officer, represented attorneys working a reduced workweek may also elect to job share. Appointing Officers may grant (at their discretion) requests for reduced workweeks due to parenting or other childcare reasons. At the request of XXX, an Appointing Officer shall meet to discuss the role of reduced work schedules in his or her department.

Voluntary Reduced Workweek. 291. Employees may request to voluntarily work a reduced workweek. Pay, vacation, holidays and sick pay shall be reduced in accordance with such reduced workweek. 292. Reduced workweek schedules are subject to the following conditions: 293. a. Reduced schedules may be granted to employees covered by this Agreement for a temporary or permanent basis subject to the approval of the Appointing Officer or designee. Up to fifteen percent (15%) of employees at San Francisco General Hospital and ten percent (10%) of employees at Laguna Honda Hospital shall be granted a reduced work schedule upon request and on a first come-first serve basis. 294. b. Up to ten percent (10%) of employees in Community Public Health Services, inclusive of 2830 Public Health Nurses and employees in Community Behavioral Health Services, and ten percent (10%) of employees in Forensic Services shall be granted a reduced work schedule upon request and on a first come-first serve basis.
