The Employer agrees that management/supervisory reductions shall be proportional to the reductions of Union staff. All Union employees will be paid at an hourly rate for all regular hours worked. 45.02 If, prior to September 10, 1999 an employee be paid an hourly base wage employee’s usual hours of work per week were in excess of the standard work week set out in Appendix E, and UWO had a practice of paying the employee straight time (not overtime pay) for up to five (5) of those hours over the standard work week, then such an employee’s pre‐ratification usual work week shall be treated as the employee’s standard work week for the purpose of Article 32 so long as the usual work week remains as it was prior to ratification. In any event an employee’s standard work week shall not exceed 40 hours in a week.
45.03 The starting salary schedule for a newly hired employee will be the Minimum of the salary range in the applicable Appendix W, X, and Y unless the new employee was has previous pertinent experience, in Longevity Status prior to September 21which case the employee may be started, 2010. Effective upon Board approval prior to the end of Novemberat UWO’s discretion, and ratification of this Agreement by SEIU, Local 221 no later than October 26, 2018, the salary schedule for all unit classifications will be modified to reflect a minimum 2.5% increase, unless outlined in a different manner in this Article, and maintain a maximum of eight (8) steps at another place in the salary schedule unless outlined differently range below the Normal Maximum.
45.04 On July 1 of each year, a nonprobationary Continuing employee whose salary is at or above the Minimum and below the Normal Maximum of her salary range will receive a regular Progress Through the Range (PTR) increase equal to 3% of the employee's current salary on July 1 each year (i.e., after the increase provided for in this Article. The Article 45.06), except where the employee's new salary would be greater than the Normal Maximum for her current range, in which case the PTR increase will be limited to the amount which is sufficient to increase her salary to equal the applicable Normal Maximum.
45.05 When a Continuing or Sessional employee’s salary is at or above the Normal Maximum but below the Long Service Maximum of a classification for four years that employee’s salary will be moved to the Long Service Maximum on 1 November coinciding with, or next following, the completion of Leasing Agent shall be the fourth full year at the Normal Maximum.
45.06 a) Effective July 1, 2010 the current salaries of all eligible Continuing and Sessional employees shall be increased upon ratification of by 1.5%. In addition, on this Agreement by SEIUdate, Local 221 no later than October 26, 2018 and approval by the MAAC Board no later than the end of November. The new current salary range shall be an eight step range starting at $15.36 per hour and ending at $18.76 per hour. Incumbents grid will be placed on a step increased by 1.5% as reflected in the new range on October 4, 2018 in an amount equivalent to a 2.5% increase. In no instance shall placement exceed the new range. The Child Development Co-Teacher II classification shall be retitled Associate Teacher. EHS Co- Teachers promoted to EHS Lead Teacher, EHS Lead Teacher I, EHS Lead Teacher II will be eligible to receive a salary increase, pursuant to this Section of the Agreement, of no more than 2.5% (additional to the 10% received when reclassified in October 2018) on August 23, 2018 upon ratification of this Agreement by SEIU, Local 221 no later than October 26, 2018 and approval by the MAAC Board no later than the end of November. 29.4 If an Employee covered by this Collective Agreement is temporarily assigned to and designated the duties of another position inside or outside the Bargaining Unit for which the rate of pay is higher than the rate of pay for the Employee’s regular position, and the Employee is assigned to and performs in that management/supervisory reductions capacity, the Employee shall receive the wages at the bottom of the absent Employee’s salary scale or a minimum of five percent (5%) over the Employee’s regular wage rate, whichever is greater, effective day one of assuming the new position.
29.5 The Employer may place newly hired Employees on the pay scale based on the prior experience of the Employee. Such newly hired Employees shall not be started at the top rate for the scale.
29.6 An Employee that retires after attaining the age of fifty-five (55) shall receive a payment of $75.00 for each complete year of service with the Employer.
