Work Cycle. 9.2.1 The normal workday shall consist of eight (8) consecutive hours, excluding meal periods. This workday can begin on one day and finish on the following day. 9.2.2 The minimum daily call is eight (8) hours of work plus one (1) unpaid meal break. There shall be no split shifts. 9.2.3 Hours worked shall be calculated in sixths (6) of one hour increments (ten (10) minutes). 9.2.4 Only under the following situations within the Studio Zone a four (4) hour minimum call may be scheduled within the Employee’s standard work week: (1) Production meetings and screening rushes; (2) Screen tests; (3) Location scout; Such work is to be paid at one and one-half times (1 1/2x) the basic hourly rate. An employee paid on a flat daily rate will receive half of their daily rate. Any additional hours assigned shall be paid at two times (2x) the basic rate calculated to the end of the last hour in which work was performed. 9.2.5 If the employee requests and obtains from the employer permission to leave before the end of his shift, the employer has the obligation to pay only the actual hours worked.
