Working Supervisor - Buildings. An employee who is a working supervisor in charge of employees engaged in performing duties such as maintenance, operation and repair of buildings and grounds. The employee may be required to meet the public and, if the employee is, the employee shall be capable of performing such assignment with tact and diplomacy. The employee shall have the personal qualifications of leadership and supervisory ability, the craft qualifications necessary to maintain large buildings and complex building mechanical equipment, and be familiar with the City’s safety standards, accounting procedures and all other applicable rules and regulations. The employee shall be capable of performing the duties with skill, efficiency, and safety.

The employee shall be capable of performing the duties with skill, efficiency, and safety. An employee who is a working supervisor in charge of not more than eight (8) other employees engaged in maintenance, construction and installation of parks, buildings, grounds, plantings, trees, and other similar City facilities. Must possess an appropriate State of California Department of Food and Agriculture Commercial Applicator Certificate for use of restrictive materials in those categories that are job related. The employee shall have the personal qualifications of leadership and supervisory ability, a background of experience in parks maintenance work or related work of a similar nature, must possess a minimum of 16 units of college level horticultural work or the equivalent, and must be familiar with the City’s construction and safety standards, accounting procedures, and all other applicable rules and regulations. When in charge of more than eight (8) other employees the employee’s wage rate shall be increased by five (5) percent. The employee shall be capable of performing the duties with skill, efficiency, and safety.

  • Supervisors Working (a) The work of Supervisors will not include assignment to work normally performed by employees of the bargaining unit except for training or demonstration. “Training or demonstration” shall not be used as a subterfuge for the performing of any bargaining unit work. Any claimed abuses will be referred to the Grievance Procedure. Where possible, the shop xxxxxxx will be notified. Supervisors will not perform bargaining unit work until after all rea- sonable efforts have been exhausted to have the work covered.

  • Alpine Areas The employer shall pay an Alpine disability allowance of $2.50 per hour worked on projects in alpine areas.

  • Building Commissioning Services The Owner may provide as a part of its testing services the Building Commissioning services involving the project’s HVAC and exhaust systems, temperature control systems, fire detection and alarm systems, emergency power and lighting system, fire suppression system, security locks and security locking control systems, food service equipment (if applicable), and laundry equipment (if applicable). In the event the Using Agency’s Program specifies additional commissioning services, the Owner shall procure such services as well. The Owner, through its Executive Administrator, may engage an independent Commissioning Authority. It is the intent of this Article that the Commissioning Authority enforce the requirements mentioned herein and certify that the systems and equipment listed all function properly prior to the initiation of each final inspection.

  • PUBLIC WORKS AND BUILDING SERVICES CONTRACTS Work being done under a resulting Authorized User Agreement may be subject to the prevailing wage rate provisions of the New York State Labor Law. Such work will be identified by the Authorized User within the RFQ. See “Prevailing Wage Rates – Public Works and Building Services Contracts’ in Appendix B, Clause 10, OGS General Specifications. Any federal or State determination of a violation of any public works law or regulation, or labor law or regulation, or any OSHA violation deemed "serious or willful" may be grounds for a determination of vendor non-responsibility and rejection of proposal. SHORT TERM EXTENSION In the event a replacement Contract has not been issued, any Contract let and awarded hereunder by the State, may be extended unilaterally by the State for an additional period of up to 3 months upon notice to the Contractor with the same terms and conditions as the original Contract including, but not limited to, prices and delivery requirements. With the concurrence of the Contractor, the extension may be for a period of up to 6 months in lieu of 3 months. However, this extension terminates should the replacement Contract be issued in the interim. PROCUREMENT INSTRUCTIONS Authorized Users should refer to the documents attached as Appendix G – Processes and Forms Templates for specific instructions on the usage of this Contract.   • Safe Operations Notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement, an NTO may take, or cause to be taken, such action with respect to the operation of its facilities as it deems necessary to maintain Safe Operations. To ensure Safe Operations, the local operating rules of the ITO(s) shall govern the connection and disconnection of generation with NTO transmission facilities. Safe Operations include the application and enforcement of rules, procedures and protocols that are intended to ensure the safety of personnel operating or performing work or tests on transmission facilities.
