Workplace Safety Insurance. (i) When an Employee has submitted a claim to the Workplace Safety & Insurance Employer, the Employer will advance the Employee a net payment* during the absence and the Employee's accumulated sick leave account will be charged one (1) full day for each day absent until the Employee's accumulated sick leave has expired or until the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board renders a decision, whichever comes first. (c) This provision shall not apply in the event of lump sum or permanent disability awards. 24.03 The Employer shall meet its obligations outlined in the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board renders Act to re-employ Employees who are or have been in receipt of Workers' Compensation. 24.04 (F/T) A permanent Employee on Workplace Safety Insurance benefits shall continue to accumulate seniority for a decision maximum period of twelve (12) months and following consultation with shall retain his/her seniority thereafter, without further accumulation. 24.05 (P/T) Calculation of seniority for part-time Employees on Workplace Safety Insurance, (in receipt of benefits) shall be the Bargaining Unit average of time worked per week using the preceding six (6) months' work record before the accident. An Employee shall continue to accumulate seniority for a maximum period of twelve (12) months and shall retain his/her seniority thereafter without further accumulation. 24.06 Continuation of Benefits While on W.S.I.B. (F/T) The Employer will continue the Employer's portion of hospital, medical, dental and group life insurance premiums during any period of absence on Workplace Safety Insurance to a maximum of two (2) years. 24.07 Workplace Accommodations (a) Employees who request workplace accommodation will be given the option to have Union representation at meetings where a return to work (RTW) accommodation is developed. If the Employee elects to have Union representation, any member of the local who has received the WSIB Return to Work training may be asked to participate. (b) It is understood that once the initial return to work plan has been developed, the Employee, Human Resources may place ’s supervisor or the Employee Health Coordinator will meet with the Employee on a Leave of Absence without payregular basis as required. In the event the Employee has concerns over any return to work plans, the Employee may elect to request a Union representative attend the meeting with the Employer.

Workplace Safety Insurance. The Employer agrees that members of the bargaining unit receiving Workplace Safety Insurance shall have the difference between such payments and ninety per- cent (i90%) When of their regular net pay (voluntary contributions excluded) paid by the Employer, provided said members are injured in the course of the performance of their duties as employees of the Employer. Except as otherwise herein provided the foregoing payments shall be made by the Employer only so long as the employee is working under the terms of this Agreement. Workplace Safety Insurance. Once WSIB approves the employee’s claim for loss of earnings benefits, the employee’s wages shall continue to be paid for by the employer for the period of time that the claim remains approved by WSIB or until the Workplace Employer’s re-employment obligation expires. 32.03 Where an employee receives payment under Article 32.01 and the WSIB’s initial claim decision is to deny the employee’s claim on the basis that the injury or illness is not work related, the employee’s sick leave bank will not be reimbursed for the number of sick leave days used while the employee was off work. If the decision of WSIB is to approve the claim and deny loss of earnings benefits, the employee shall not be allowed to use their sick bank for such injury. In such circumstances any sick time used or advanced under 32.01 shall be repaid through future sick leave credits. 32.04 When employees have suffered compensable injury, and after treatment are able to resume their former classification to the satisfaction of Management and when such resumption of duties would not create hazard to the employee or others, they shall receive the rate of the classification even though they may in addition be receiving a clinical disability award, ordered by the Workers' Safety & and Insurance Board renders a decision, whichever comes firstof Ontario. (F/T) The Employer will continue the Employer's portion of hospital, medical, dental and group life insurance premiums during any period of absence on Workplace Safety Insurance to a maximum of two (2) years. 24.07 Workplace Accommodations (a) Employees who request workplace accommodation will be given the option to have Union representation at meetings where a return to work (RTW) accommodation is developed. If the Employee elects to have Union representation, any member of the local who has received the WSIB Return to Work training may be asked to participate. (b) It is understood that once the initial return to work plan has been developed, the Employee, Human Resources may place ’s supervisor or the Employee Health Coordinator will meet with the Employee on a Leave of Absence without payregular basis as required. In the event the Employee has concerns over any return to work plans, the Employee may elect to request a Union representative attend the meeting with the Employer.
