Worksite Closure. Where the Employer closes a worksite or discontinues a Program, the Employer will consult with the Union. Following consultations, where the Employer offers positions to all or part of the staff affected, the following shall apply: (a) Those employees who are offered positions shall not have access to Article 13 of this Collective Agreement. (b) Employees who accept a position and are placed in a lower classification shall not have their salary reduced for a period of three (3) months. (c) If the downward classification lasts longer than three (3) months, no employee shall suffer more than ten percent (10%) reduction in their basic pay. (d) An employee who is classified downward as per (c) above shall be placed in the first vacancy available in her former classification, prior to the application of the recall provisions.
