Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Day. Compensation for these holidays shall be determined by multiplying the employee's hourly rate of pay at the time of payment by one and forty-four hundredths (1.44) by eight (8) hours for each holiday. Payment for holidays shall be made at the time of the first pay in November. An employee who works on the actual designated holiday, (whose shift is scheduled to start on the holiday) shall be compensated at a rate of 1.5 x 8 x 1.44 x base pay plus 16 x base pay (calculation for holiday pay) in lieu of his/her regular pay for that day of work or may elect to receive compensatory time at a rate of one hour for each hour worked.
