Education Stipend. If an employee is laid off and not reemployed by the County through a transfer, demotion, or displacement of another employee, the County will pay up to four thousand dollars ($4,000) for tuition or fees in payment for accredited courses or training taken within twelve (12) months of layoff, and taken for the purpose of finding new employment. The administration of this new benefit will be determined by mutual agreement between the County and the Union.

Subject to the prior approval of the Human Resources Director, a nurse may use the Education Xxxxxxx described herein in advance of layoff for the purpose of training required to qualify for a transfer to a vacant position in the County, in lieu of receipt of the Education Stipend post-layoff. Pre- layoff use of the Education Stipend shall not guarantee County approval of the intended transfer. Time spent in training funded by the Education Stipend shall not count as hours worked.
Education Stipend. Professional-Technical employees may be eligible to receive a stipend recognizing advance education or certification which supports the current work assignment and is not a requirement for their current assignment. 1. A Prof-Tech employee will be eligible to receive a maximum of one annual Education Stipend for completed educational degrees or advance certifications which meet the following criteria: a. the education degree/advanced certification is more than the minimum qualifications of the employee’s position; and b. the education degree/advanced certification is specifically relevant to the responsibilities of that position; and c. the education degree/certification was not funded by the District, except that an individual’s professional development funding may be used 2. Any Prof-Tech position is eligible for the educational degree recognition, provided it meets the above criteria. Pay. Certified School Business Specialist (CSBS) Student Intervention Coordinator (SINC) WA State Teaching Certificate 3. Only one and the highest degree or certification obtained will be recognized. No additional compensation will be provided for multiple degrees or certifications. 4. If a sponsoring organization cancels or removes a certificate, the stipend will no longer be paid. 5. Those certificates requiring renewal must be maintained to keep the stipend. If the certification expires mid-year, the stipend will continue for the remainder of the year, however it must be renewed prior to September 1 for the stipend to be continued for the following year. 6. Education Stipend. The City shall compensate an employee as follows for completion of job-related degrees (at the City’s determination) from an accredited institution: 1. A Technical Certification or Associate Degree - two hundred dollars ($200) per year stipend.
Education Stipend. Effective July 1, 2015, eligible bargaining unit members who possess or thereafter obtain a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree shall receive a monthly stipend of $150 for a Bachelor’s or $300 for a Master’s degree provided that the degrees are not required for the position and that the degree is from an accredited institution. 16.8.1 Documentation must consist of official transcripts mailed directly to the District’s Office of Human Resources by the granting institution. Each employee is solely responsible for requesting and arranging for the payment of the official transcript.

Education Stipend. Employees will earn a stipend for acquiring the following education levels. Each employee can only earn one (1) education stipend each year. This stipend shall be paid in September.
Education Stipend. The district values lifelong learning and continuing education. In recognition of continued learning by our building leaders, the district agrees to pay a $1,000 stipend to any principal who (1) a doctoral degree; (2) a second master's degree, in addition to the one he/she was required to have to get his/her principal's credential; or (3) a superintendent's credential. An administrator who possesses more than one of these advanced degrees/credentials will be paid $1000 for each. The stipend(s) will be awarded every year. The money will be added to the principal's annual salary and paid out in monthly installments.
