Common use of XXXXXXX CONDUCTING UNION BUSINESS DURING WORKING HOURS Clause in Contracts

XXXXXXX CONDUCTING UNION BUSINESS DURING WORKING HOURS. The Xxxxxxx/Chapter Chairperson may engage in Union business during working hours without loss of pay or time for a period not exceeding five (5) hours for any one (1) week. However, the Xxxxxxx/Chapter Chairperson shall notify their immediate supervisor of the nature, starting time, and completion time of such work. This allotment will also be granted to the additional Xxxxxxx(s) in the event of an additional shift.

XXXXXXX CONDUCTING UNION BUSINESS DURING WORKING HOURS. The Xxxxxxx/Chapter Chairperson or any Xxxxxxx on each shift may engage in Union business relating to grievances during working hours without loss of pay or time for a period not exceeding five up to three (53) hours in any work week collectively, with mutual consent for any one (1) weekadditional time if required. HoweverThe parties agree that before engaging in Union activities, the Xxxxxxx/Chapter Chairperson or Xxxxxxx shall notify their immediate supervisor of department head or designee as to the nature, starting time, and completion time of such work. This allotment will also be granted leaving his/her job as well as notifying the same person upon their return to the additional Xxxxxxx(s) in the event of an additional shiftsaid job.
