Xxxxxxx Duties. A. The investigation and presentation of grievances to the Employer to Step One (1) in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement. B. The stewards will be allocated a maximum of three (3) days a year for union business other than negotiations and grievance processing. C. The classification xxxxxxx is required to notify and secure permission from his/her immediate supervisor to leave the assigned work station for Union business. This will not be abused. D. The transmission of such messages and information which shall originate with and are authorized by the local Union or its officers provided such messages and information: 1. have been reduced to writing or 2. If not reduced to writing are of routine nature and do not involve work stoppages, slowdowns, refusals to handle goods, or any other interference with the Employer's business.
