A/E definition

A/E means the Person identified in the Agreement responsible for providing professional design services and construction contract administration for the Project. The A/E shall be (1) a registered architect holding a license and certificate of authorization issued by the Ohio Architects Board pursuant to ORC Chapter 4703, (2) a landscape architect holding a license and certificate of authorization issued by the Ohio Landscape Architects Board pursuant to ORC Chapter 4703, or (3) a professional engineer or professional surveyor holding a license and certificate of authorization issued by the Ohio Engineers and Surveyors Board pursuant to ORC Chapter 4733. As used in the Agreement, the term A/E may include a criteria architect or engineer for a Design-Build project.

A/E means architect/engineer.

A/E means the A/E or the A/E’s Representative. Neither the Agency nor the A/E shall change their representatives without ten days written notice to the other party.

• A/E shall, as requested by Contractor, periodically issue full-scaled conformed Construction Documents reflecting all prior changes.

• A/E hereby agrees to provide the following Additional Services: Provide additional construction administration services for the (1) Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) portion of the fuel area construction; (2) construction of Alternate #1 A - Facility Storage Building; and (3) remodel of the existing vehicle impound building at the Project.

• Construction Cost does not include the compensation of A/E and A/E’s consultants.

• A/E shall provide Contractor certified copies of the policies of insurance evidencing the coverages and amounts set forth in this Section 12.

• A/E shall cause each of A/E’s consultants providing design or engineering work to maintain separate professional liability insurance to protect against claims arising out of the performance of such consultant’s Services.

A/E and “ARCHITECT/ENGINEER” means a person, partnership, corporation, or other business organization under Contract with DFD to prepare drawings and specifications, to advise DFD, to provide DFD with design services, and in certain cases, to perform inspection and review for the sole benefit of DFD during construction.
