ACCEPTABLE HAZARDOUS WASTE definition

ACCEPTABLE HAZARDOUS WASTE shall be defined as any and all forms of HAZARDOUS WASTE that the HAZARDOUS WASTE VENDOR specifically agrees to collect and properly dispose of and/or recycle at any and all collection events throughout this program.
ACCEPTABLE HAZARDOUS WASTE means (a) Household Hazardous Waste in types and quantities typically found in residences, including but are not limited to, pesticides, solvents, oil-based paints, acids, bases, latex paint, used oil, antifreeze, lead-acid batteries, and household batteries, and (b) SQG Waste permitted by law to be disposed of at the collection facility. Acceptable Hazardous Waste does not include ammunition, explosives, nuclear wastes, or infectious waste.

  • The protocol shall clearly provide that the HAZARDOUS WASTE VENDOR is solely responsible for the collection, sorting, transport and proper disposition of all ACCEPTABLE HAZARDOUS WASTE collected at an event.

  • Hazardous chemical has the meaning given in subregulation 5(1) of the Work Health and Safety Regulations 2011 (Cth) and includes: prohibited carcinogen, as defined in subregulation 5(1) of the Work Health and Safety Regulations 2011 (Cth); restricted carcinogen, as defined in subregulation 5(1) of the Work Health and Safety Regulations 2011 (Cth); hazardous chemicals the use of which is restricted under regulation 382 of the Work Health and Safety Regulations 2011 (Cth), including polychlorinated biphenyls; Schedule 11 Hazardous Chemicals; hazardous chemicals listed in Table 14.1 of Schedule 14 of the Work Health and Safety Regulations 2011 (Cth); Schedule 15 Chemicals; and lead as defined in subregulation 5(1) of the Work Health and Safety Regulations 2011 (Cth).
