ACO Activities definition

ACO Activities means activities related to promoting accountability for the quality, cost, and overall care for a patient population of aligned Medicare fee-for-service Beneficiaries, including managing and coordinating care for Next Generation Beneficiaries; encouraging investment in infrastructure and redesigned care processes for high quality and efficient service delivery; or carrying out any other obligation or duty of the ACO under this Agreement. Examples of these activities include, but are not limited to, providing direct patient care to Next Generation Beneficiaries in a manner that reduces costs and improves quality; promoting evidence-based medicine and patient engagement; reporting on quality and cost measures under this Agreement; coordinating care for Next Generation Beneficiaries, such as through the use of telehealth, remote patient monitoring, and other enabling technologies; establishing and improving clinical and administrative systems for the ACO; meeting the quality performance standards of this Agreement; evaluating health needs of Next Generation Beneficiaries; communicating clinical knowledge and evidence-based medicine to Next Generation Beneficiaries; and developing standards for Beneficiary access and communication, including Beneficiary access to medical records.

Examples of these activities include, but are not limited to, providing direct patient care in a manner that reduces costs and improves quality; promoting evidence-based medicine and patient engagement; reporting on quality and cost measures under the Agreement; coordinating care, such as through the use of telehealth, remote patient monitoring, and other enabling technologies; establishing and improving clinical and administrative systems for the ACO; meeting the quality performance standards of the Agreement; evaluating health needs; communicating clinical knowledge and evidence-based medicine; and developing standards for Beneficiary access and communication, including Beneficiary access to medical records.

Examples of ACO Activities in a sentence

  • The ACO shall not, and shall ensure that its Next Generation Participants, Preferred Providers, and any other individuals or entities performing services related to ACO Activities do not, provide gifts or other remuneration to Next Generation Beneficiaries as inducements for receiving the Coordinated Care Reward or to influence a Next Generation Beneficiary’s decision to qualify for the Coordinated Care Reward.

  • ACO, Participant and Preferred Provider agree to participate in the Program as provided herein and are committed to performing ACO Activities, as that term is defined in the Agreement.

  • The ACO shall ensure that it has written arrangements in place with any individuals and entities performing functions and services related to ACO Activities or Marketing Activities, that are necessary to ensure CMS or its designees can carry out evaluation activities.

  • If CMS rejects the ACO’s Marketing Plan, the ACO shall not, and shall require its Participant Providers, Preferred Providers, and other individuals or entities performing functions or services related to ACO Activities or Marketing Activities, not to, conduct Marketing Activities.

  • There has been a termination, dispute, or allegation of fraud or similar fault against the ACO, its Participant Providers, Preferred Providers, or other individuals or entities performing functions or services related to ACO Activities or Marketing Activities, in which case the records shall be maintained for an additional six years from the date of any resulting final resolution of the termination, dispute, or allegation of fraud or similar fault.

  • Unless the ACO participated in the Model during the Implementation Period, the ACO shall not conduct, and shall prohibit its Participant Providers, Preferred Providers, and other individuals or entities performing functions or services related to ACO Activities or Marketing Activities, from conducting Marketing Activities before the Start Date, or such other date specified by CMS.

  • The arrangement requires the Participant Provider or Preferred Provider to agree to participate in the Model during the Agreement Performance Period, to engage in ACO Activities, to comply with the applicable terms of the Model as set forth in the Agreement, and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations (including, but not limited to, those specified at Section 15.04).

  • In conducting Marketing Activities, the ACO shall not, and shall require its Participant Providers, Preferred Providers, and other individuals or entities performing functions or services related to ACO Activities or Marketing Activities, not to, conduct communication or Marketing Activities targeted to Beneficiaries enrolled in Medicare Advantage or any other Medicare managed care plan.

  • This Court has subject matter jurisdiction over this case under 2813 U.S.C. § 1331 because Plaintiff is asserting a claim under the Act.14 7.

  • Consistent with Section 1802(a) of the Act, neither the ACO nor any Participant Provider, Preferred Provider, or other individuals or entities performing functions or services related to ACO Activities or Marketing Activities, shall commit any act or omission, nor adopt any policy, that inhibits Beneficiaries from exercising their freedom to obtain health services from providers and suppliers who are not Participant Providers or Preferred Providers.

ACO Activities means activities engaged in by OneCare related to promoting accountability for the quality, cost, and overall care for a population of beneficiaries and members attributed to OneCare under the terms of any ACO Program agreement(s) between OneCare and any Payer(s), including managing and coordinating care; encouraging investment in infrastructure and redesigned care processes for high quality and efficient service delivery; or carrying out any other obligation or duty of OneCare.
ACO Activities means refers to services provided by OneCare to a Payer’s beneficiaries or members under an ACO Program Agreement.

Related to ACO Activities

  • Activities has the meaning specified in Section 7.02(b).

  • Economic activities shall in principle include activities of an industrial, commercial and professional character and activities of craftsmen;

  • Funded Activities means the activities set out in the Grant Offer Letter and Annex 2 of these Conditions; General Data Protection Regulation and GDPR means the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679; Grant means the sum or sums that DWP will pay to the Grant Recipient in accordance with clause 4 and subject to the provisions set out at clause 22.

  • Business Activities shall be deemed to include any activities which are included in the Company's Business now or during the effective period of this Agreement.

Overhead and other expenses related to “distribution activities” or “service activities,” including telephone and other communications expenses, may be included in the information regarding amounts expended for these activities.

  • Motor Sport Activities means any motor sport activities or Recreational Services which are permitted or approved which CAMS regulates or administers by CAMS or otherwise under the responsibility / control of CAMS;

  • Intrascholastic Activities means athletic or non-athletic/academic activities where students compete with students from within the same school.

  • Competing Activities means the same or similar services as Xxxxxx Xxx Ltd is providing to the Restaurant under this Agreement or other activities having a similar purpose.

  • Covered Activities means those land uses and conservation and other activities described in Chapter 2.3 of the HCP/NCCP to be carried out by the Conservancy or its agents that may result in Authorized Take of Covered Species during the term of the HCP/NCCP, and that are otherwise lawful.

  • Corrupt activities means any corrupt activities as contemplated in the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act 2004 (Act no. 12 of 2004)

  • Project Activities means the activities to be undertaken or Works to be delivered or Property to be contributed or provided by you, your approved Sub-Grantees or your approved sub- contractors as summarised in the Particulars and more particularly described in the Agreed Proposal for which Xxxxx is payable under this Agreement;

  • Interfering Activities means (A) encouraging, soliciting, or inducing, or in any manner attempting to encourage, solicit, or induce, any Person employed by, or providing consulting services to, any member of the Company Group to terminate such Person’s employment or services (or in the case of a consultant, materially reducing such services) with the Company Group; (B) hiring any individual who was employed by the Company Group within the six (6) month period prior to the date of such hiring; or (C) encouraging, soliciting, or inducing, or in any manner attempting to encourage, solicit, or induce, any Business Relation to cease doing business with or reduce the amount of business conducted with the Company Group, or in any way interfering with the relationship between any such Business Relation and the Company Group.

  • Commercial Activities means activities conducted on a commercial basis.
