Bid Committees definition

Bid Committees means the committees established in terms of this policy to prepare bid specifications, bid documentation, evaluate responsive bids and, where so authorized, to adjudicate responsive bids and any reference in section 117 of the Municipal Finance Management Act to municipal tender committees shall be construed as a reference to the aforesaid committees;
Bid Committees means a group of members appointed by the Accounting Officer to compile the specification for each procurement of goods or services, evaluate and adjudicate bids.

Examples of Bid Committees in a sentence

  • All members of Bid Committees have to declare their interest and disclose and declare related parties for each and every bid that they serve on as a member of a Bid Committee.

  • Disagreements on the advice provided by the Supply Chain Management Practitioner must be dealt with in terms of the Rule of Order for Bid Committees and be recorded accordingly.

  • The date, time and venue for the meetings of each bid committee shall be included in a programme schedule for the year concerned, to be compiled by Committee Services and submitted to the Bid Committees for approval.

The secretary of the Bid Committees shall be responsible for safe keeping of the tapes which on which deliberations of the Bid Committees have been recorded, as well as the copies of the minutes signed by the relevant Chairperson as accuracy and validity of proceedings.

  • All Supply Chain Management Bid Committees are set and operational, i.e. Specification Committee, Evaluation Committee and Adjudication Committee.

  • In instances where a Tax Clearance certificate or Tax Compliance Status with a PIN number is valid at the time of tender, but expires during the evaluation period, the preferred bidder must furnish the municipality within a period of twenty one (21) days as stipulated by the Bid Committees with a valid tax clearance certificate or Tax Compliance Status with a PIN number.

  • The Municipal Manager must ensure that (where possible and necessary)all members of the Bid Committees as well as the secretariat to these committees are cleared by the relevant authority (ies).

  • Candidate Information shall not seek to draw or otherwise purport to include comparisons with bids from other Candidate Cities and shall not disparage or demean other bids, other Candidate Cities or other Bid Committees.

Related to Bid Committees

  • Committees means the committees formed under this Act or by the various functionaries of the University as the case may be and includes the Nomination Committee, the Finance Committee and such other committees;

  • Nominating Committee means the nominating committee of the board of directors of the Company established pursuant to the Articles, or any successor committee.

  • Advisory Committee means the Employer's Advisory Committee as from time to time constituted.

  • Independent Board Committee means the independent board committee of the Company

  • Steering Committee has the meaning set forth in Section 2.

  • Development Committee shall have the meaning set forth in Section 3.4.1.

  • Executive Committee means a group of directors elected or appointed to act on behalf of, and within the powers granted to them by, the Commission.
