In an emergency affecting the safety or life of persons or of the Work, or of the adjoining property, the Contractor, without special instruction or authorization from the City’s project manager, City Engineer, Building Code Official, or Fire Official, shall act, at Contractor’s discretion, to prevent such threatened loss or injury.
Also, should Contractor, to prevent threatened loss or injury, be instructed or authorized to act by the City’s project manager, City Engineer, Building Code Official, Fire Official, or other responsible official, Contractor shall so act immediately, without appeal.
The Building Code Official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180 days on written request by the applicant showing that circumstances beyond the control of the applicant have prevented action from being taken.
Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall expire by limitation, and plans and other data submitted for review may thereafter be returned to the applicant or destroyed by the Building Code Official.
Upon substantial completion of the C-PACE Project, the Property Owner and a Qualified Inspector or Building Code Official will execute a final completion certificate.
