Building Code Official definition

Building Code Official means the city or local official whose responsibility includes inspecting facilities for compliance with the city or local jurisdiction electrical code requirements.
Building Code Official means the individual or designee who is charged with the enforcement and administration of the Building Code of the City of York. (Ord. 1-2000. Passed 1-18-00.)
Building Code Official means the officers and their duly authorized representatives who have as part of their regular duties the performance of building code inspections, or the resolution of conflicts relative to application of the building code. The official's status shall be determined by job duties rather than job title.

  • In an emergency affecting the safety or life of persons or of the Work, or of the adjoining property, the Contractor, without special instruction or authorization from the City’s project manager, City Engineer, Building Code Official, or Fire Official, shall act, at Contractor’s discretion, to prevent such threatened loss or injury.
