Bulk Item definition

Bulk Item means a household waste item that is too large or heavy for regular collection services, and which is not recyclable materials, organic materials, yard waste or prohibited collection waste;
Bulk Item. Any item set forth as refuse which is too large to fit into a cart. Examples include sofas, large tables and chairs, dressers, televisions, bookcases, mattresses and box springs, other large household furniture, and large appliances, which do not contain CFC or HCFC refrigerant gas, PCB containing capacitors, mercury switches, or other hazardous components. Cart: A CONTRACTOR supplied thirty-five (35), sixty-five (65), or ninety-five (95) gallon wheeled plastic container with a tight-fitting top requiring a semi-automated or fully automated lifting mechanism for collection, and provided and maintained by the CONTRACTOR. Carts are the only approved refuse and recyclable containers. Catalog: A book made from either glossy or non-glossy paper stock, which contains an itemized listing of names or articles arranged in order or classified. Chipboard: (Also referred to as paperboard) A thin, single layer of cardboard used in the packaging of consumer goods. Bulk Item means large solid waste items, including furniture, appliances, washers, dryers, heaters, carpet, wood, metal, construction and demolition debris not in excess of one cubic yard, and other items with a weight and volume greater than allowed for container collection.

More Definitions of Bulk Item

Bulk Item means the collection of bundled solid waste that does not exceed 4’x4’x2’and all uncontained residential refuse/recycling placed for collection as specified in the technical specifications of the Agreement Documents (i.e., residential appliances, furniture, box springs, mattresses, carpet cut into four-foot lengths, yard and tree clippings bundled in four foot or less lengths, able to be easily handled by one person). Such materials may include furniture (no sleeper sofas), carpet (cut and bundled), mattresses (queen or smaller). All mattresses, box springs, and upholstered furniture must be wrapped in plastic and sealed with duct tape prior to collection.
Bulk Item means a large waste item which may have been loaded and grouted into a suitable container or emplaced directly into the vaults and grouted in-situ.

Bulk Item means any item that is too large to fit in your garbage/refuse cart with the lid closed. Bulk item classification excludes the following items: appliances, demolition material, electronic waste, hazardous waste, recyclables, tires, wet paint and yard waste.
