Cable Services definition

Cable Services means the transmission by cable of programs including retransmission by cable of any satellite television signals.

Cable Services means (1) the one-way transmission to Subscribers of (a) video programming, or (b) other programming service, and (2) Subscriber interaction, if any, which is required for the selection or use of such video programming or other programming service.

Cable Services means the transmission by cable of the programmes including retransmission of the signals of the television channels by cable.

• If Franchisee desires to add Additional Service Areas within the Franchise Area, Franchisee shall notify LFA in writing of such Additional Service Area at least ten (10) days prior to providing Cable Services in such areas.

• Except as may be required by Section 3.1.1.1, Franchisee may, but shall not be required to extend its Cable System or to provide Cable Services to any other areas within the Franchise Area during the term of this Franchise or any Renewals thereof.

• If Cable Services subject to the Franchise fee required under this Article 7 are provided to Subscribers in conjunction with Non-Cable Services, the Franchise fee shall be applied only to the value of the Cable Services, as reflected on the books and records of Franchisee in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

• The Franchise and the rights granted herein to use and occupy the Public Rights-of-Way to provide Cable Services shall not be exclusive, and LFA reserves the right to grant other franchises for similar uses or for other uses of the Public Rights- of-Way, or any portions thereof, to any Person, or to make any such use themselves, at any time during the term of this Franchise.

• Franchisee shall make Cable Services available to residential dwelling units in all areas of the Service Area where the average density is equal to or greater than fifteen (15) occupied residential dwelling units per one-quarter cable mile as measured in strand footage from the nearest technically feasible point on the active Cable System trunk or feeder line.

Cable Services means the one-way transmission of video programming, or other programming service for commercial purposes, including any subscriber interaction necessary for the selection or use of such programming.

Cable Services means the provision of one-way transmission to subscribers of video programming, or other programming service, and subscriber interaction, if any, which is required for the selection or use of such video programming or other programming service by a cable system. Cable Services shall not include Information Services or Video Services, as defined in Section 66.002, Texas Utilities Code.

Cable Services means the one-way or two way transmission to or from subscribers of video programming, or other cable system services (including music) and subscriber interaction, if any, which is required for the selection or use of such video programming or other programming or service which constitute cable services under the Cable Act.

Cable Services means "basic service tier," as described in Section 623(b)(7)(A) of the Cable Television Consumer Protection Act of 1992 (or amended or successor statute), video programming services offered on a per-channel or per-program basis, video programming services offered in addition to basic service tier, any method of delivering video programming to Dwellings, including, without limitation, interactive video programming, and any channel recognized in the industry as premium including, without limitation, HBO, Showtime, Disney, Cinemax and the Movie Channel. By way of example, and not of limitation, the term Cable Services may include cable television, satellite master antenna television, individual satellite dishes, multipoint distribution systems, video dialtone, open video system or any combination thereof.

Cable Services shall have the meaning provided under Federal law and regulations.

Cable Services means (a) the one-way transmission to Subscribers of (i) Video Programming or (ii) other programming service and (b) Subscriber interaction, if any, that is required for the selection or use of such Video Programming or other programming service. For purposes of this definition, “other programming service” means information that the Grantee makes available to all Subscribers generally.
