Carbon Free Energy definition

Carbon Free Energy means Energy deliveries from Carbon Free Sources.
Carbon Free Energy means Energy deliveries from Carbon Free Sources AND meets the Renewable Energy Credit (Bucket 1) definition.
Carbon Free Energy means Energy deliveries from Carbon Free Sources. “Carbon Free Source” means any Specified Source, except for nuclear-powered generation assets, that is located within the WECC and that is considered by the State of California to have zero Greenhouse Gas emissions in accordance with the Regulation for the Mandatory Reporting of Greenhouse Gas Emissions (title 17, California Code of Regulations, sections 95100 to 95133). Carbon Free Source does not include any Renewable Energy Credits or any Energy source with an e-tag with a source point associated with a nuclear or coal-fired generating resource. “CEC” means the California Energy Commission, or any successor agency performing similar statutory functions. “Compliance Obligation” has the meaning set forth by the Cap and Trade Regulations. “Firm” means, with respect to a transaction, that either Party shall be relieved of its obligations to sell and deliver or purchase and receive without liability only to the extent that, and for the period during which, such performance is prevented by Force Majeure (EEI)/Uncontrollable Force (WSPP). In the absence of Force Majeure (EEI)/Uncontrollable Force (WSPP), the Party to which performance is owed shall be entitled to receive damages from the Party which failed to deliver/receive in an amount determined in accordance with the Agreement. “Holiday” means any day designated as a holiday by NERC. “MW” means megawatts in alternating current, unless expressly stated in terms of direct current. “MWh” means megawatt-hour measured in alternating current, unless expressly stated in terms of direct current. “Off Peak” hours means Mondays through Saturdays hours ending (HE) 0100-0600 and HE 2300-2400 PPT, and all day Sundays and Holidays. “Peak” hours means HE 0700-2200 PPT Mondays through Saturdays, excluding Holidays. “Power Content Label or PCL” means the annual CEC Power Content Label, as enacted by Assembly Bill 1110 (Statute of 2016), Assembly Bill 162 (Statute of 2009), and Senate Bill 1305 (Statutes of 1997). “Scheduling Coordinator” has the meaning set forth in the CAISO Tariff. “Specified Source” means a Project that is a “specified source”, as such term is defined in the Mandatory Reporting Rule. “Unspecified Sources of Power” means electricity that is not traceable to a specific generation source (e.g., what is commonly known as “market” or “system” power) by any auditable contract.

Examples of Carbon Free Energy in a sentence

  • For each month during the Delivery Period, Buyer will pay Seller an amount equal to the Carbon Free Energy Contract Quantity delivered in such month multiplied by the Carbon Free Energy Price specified in Exhibit C.

  • Unless otherwise mutually agreed between the Parties, Carbon Free Energy and Renewable Energy will be scheduled to the applicable delivery point without (an) IST.

  • For Carbon Free Energy imported from an out-of-state Carbon Free Source, Seller will be the electricity importer into California for purposes of the Cap and Trade Regulations.

  • Seller shall deliver the Specified Source of Power associated with the Renewable Energy and Carbon Free Energy to the CAISO at the Delivery Point and shall be entitled to retain all CAISO revenues associated with such delivery.

  • Title to the Carbon Free Energy shall be deemed to pass from Seller to Purchaser at the Delivery Point.

  • For Carbon Free Energy delivered under this Confirmation, Seller shall use Specified Sources of Power, as further detailed in Exhibit C; provided however, Seller may designate additional Specified Sources of Power upon five (5) days’ written notice to Buyer thereof; provided further any such additional Specified Sources of Power shall meet the requirement of Carbon Free Source as defined herein.

  • Carbon Free Energy Contract Quantities and Carbon Free Energy Prices pursuant to this Confirmation relate to the quantities set forth in Exhibit C.

  • Seller will use commercially reasonable efforts to work with Buyer to see that all Carbon Free Energy delivered to Buyer is tracked under [WREGIS/Green-e].

  • Throughout the Delivery Period, Seller shall sell and deliver or make available, or cause to be sold and delivered or made available to Buyer, the “Product,” which is comprised of one or more of the following: the quantity of Energy specified in Section 8.1; the quantity of PCC1 and/or PCC2 Renewable Energy specified in Section 8.2; the quantity of PCC3 specified in Section 8.2; and the quantity of Carbon Free Energy specified in Section 8.3.

  • For Renewable Energy and Carbon Free Energy delivered under this Confirmation, Seller shall use Specified Sources of Power, as further detailed in Exhibit B & C respectively; provided however, Seller may designate additional Specified Sources of Power upon 5 (five) days written notice to Buyer thereof; provided further any such additional Specified Sources of Power shall meet the requirement of Renewable Energy and Carbon Free Source as defined herein.
