Career Break definition

Career Break means an extended period of unpaid leave from normal work, without ceasing to be an employee or director of any Member of the Group, with the agreement of the Company and which is designated by the Plan Administrator as a Career Break for the purposes of these rules;
Career Break means when a member or associate who retains their membership and is not professionally active for a period of more than nine (9) months and for the reasons below is unable to fulfil all the obligations of this policy (refer paragraph 5.1.10). It includes persons who are:2.1.3.1.1. On extended parenting leave (greater than 9 months); or 2.1.3.1.2. Cannot comply with the CPD requirements due to them being medically unfit4; or 2.1.3.1.3. Examples of Career Break in a sentence

  • In 2014, almost 69,000 public civil servants used the Career Break system, more than half on a part-time basis and about 30,000 on the basis of one day a week.

More Definitions of Career Break

Career Break means the period of time between the Start Date and the End Date.
Career Break means leave of absence from active Service granted to an Employee by the Company for a period not exceeding 5 years during which:

Related to Career Break

  • One-Year Break in Service means a twelve (12) consecutive month period during which the Participant does not complete more than 500 Hours of Service.

  • 1-Year Break in Service means the applicable computation period during which an Employee has not completed more than 500 Hours of Service with the Employer. Further, solely for the purpose of determining whether a Participant has incurred a 1-Year Break in Service, Hours of Service shall be recognized for "authorized leaves of absence" and "maternity and paternity leaves of absence." Years of Service and 1-Year Breaks in Service shall be measured on the same computation period.

  • Severance from Service Date means the earlier of:

  • Severance Date means the date on which an Executive incurs a Severance, which shall be the date of termination as determined under Section 5.2.

  • Service Date or "SD" means the date service is made available to the End User Customer. This also is referred to as the "Due Date."

  • Employment Date means the first date as of which an Employee is credited with an Hour of Service, provided that, in the case of a Break in Service, the Employment Date shall be the first date thereafter as of which an Employee is credited with an Hour of Service.

  • Vesting Date has the meaning set forth in Section 3.10(c)(ii).

  • Employer default means having an outstanding balance or liability to the old fund or to the uninsured employers' fund or being in policy default, as defined in W. Va. Code § 23-2c-2, failure to maintain mandatory workers' compensation coverage, or failure to fully meet its obligations as a workers' compensation self-insured employer. An employer is not in employer default if it has entered into a repayment agreement with the Insurance Commissioner and remains in compliance with the obligations under the repayment agreement.

  • Employment Termination Date means, with respect to a Participant, the first day upon which the Participant no longer has an employment or service relationship with the Company or any Related Company.

  • Service Termination Date means the last Day in a month upon which Service shall terminate, as set forth in a Schedule of Service and subject to any renewal thereof.

  • Restriction Termination Date means the first day on which the Board of Directors of the Corporation determines that it is no longer in the best interests of the Corporation to attempt to, or continue to, qualify as a REIT.

  • Lease Termination Date means the last day of the Lease Term.

  • Change in Control Date means the date on which a Change in Control occurs.

  • Partial Termination has the meaning set forth in the Section 6.3(a).

  • Employment Termination means the effective date of: (i) Executive’s voluntary termination of employment with the Company with Good Reason, or (ii) the termination of Executive’s employment by the Company without Good Cause.

  • Change of Control Date means the date on which a Change of Control occurs.

  • Looked after means all those currently in the care of a Local Authority or accommodated by a Local Authority under the terms of the Children Act 1989 and children who were previously in the care of or accommodated by a Local Authority but immediately after being looked after, became subject to an adoption, a child arrangements order or special guardianship order.

  • Severance from Employment means severance from employment with the Employer and any Related Entity. However, a Severance from Employment also occurs on any date on which an Employee ceases to be an employee of a public school, even though the Employee may continue to be employed by a Related Employer that is another unit of the State or local government that is not a public school or in a capacity that is not employment with a public school (e.g., ceasing to be an employee performing services for a public school but continuing to work for the same State or local government employer).

  • Normal Termination means termination of employment or service with the Company and Affiliates: (i) by the Optionee; (ii) upon retirement; (iii) on account of death or Disability; or (iv) by the Company, a Subsidiary or Affiliate without Cause.
