Casual Officer definition

Casual Officer means an officer engaged by the hour for a period not exceeding one calendar month in any period of engagement, as determined by the employer.
Casual Officer means an Officer engaged and paid as such by ICC, who is employed on an hourly basis, and whose employment is subject to termination at any time without notice. The role of casual employees is to cater for peaks in demand for labour. Casual employees should not be employed for extended fixed periods nor should they be used to permanently replace permanent employees.
