Command Area definition

Command Area means an area irrigated or capable of being irrigated either by gravitational flow or by l ift irrigation or by any other method from a Government or the Government aided source and includes every such area whether i t is called 'ayacut' or by any other name under any law for the t ime being in force;
Command Area means all lands which are fit for cultivation under irrigable command of an irrigation system or scheme.
