Community facility means community room, clubhouse, recreation center or similar area for use by residents. Lobbies and laundry facilities must not be considered within the scope of this definition.
Community facilities means a specific work, or improvement within this state or a specific item of equipment or tangible personal property owned or operated by any political subdivision or nonprofit corporation and used within this state to provide any essential service to the general public;
Community Development Director means the Director of City’s Department of Community Development or his or her designee.
Community Developmental Disability Program (CDDP means an entity that is responsible for planning and delivery of services for individuals with developmental disabilities in a specific geographic service area of the state operated by or under a contract with the Division or a local mental health authority.
community centre means any school, railway station, police station and other location providing a service to the community;
City Facilities means City or publicly-owned structures or equipment located within the right of way or public easement used for governmental purposes.
Utility facility means any pipe, pipeline, duct, wire line, conduit, pole, tower, equipment or other structure used for one of the following:
Existing development means development, other than that associated with agricultural or forest management activities, that meets one of the following criteria:
Utility Facilities means the plant, equipment and property, including but not limited to the poles, pipes, mains, conduits, ducts, cable, wires, plant and equipment located under, on, or above the surface of the ground within the public right-of-way of the city and used or to be used for the purpose of providing utility or telecommunications services. City Facility means any building, structure, property, park, open space, or vehicle, owned or leased by the City, its agents, agencies, or departments.
Research and development facility means an establishment engaged in laboratory, scientific, or experimental testing and development related to new products, new uses for existing products, or improving existing products. The term does not include an establishment engaged in efficiency surveys, management studies, consumer surveys, economic surveys, advertising, promotion, banking, or research in connection with literary, historical, or similar projects.
Residential Development means lands, buildings or structures developed or to be developed for residential use;
Commercial Development means any development on private land that is not heavy industrial or residential. The category includes, but is not limited to: hospitals, laboratories and other medical facilities, educational institutions, recreational facilities, plant nurseries, car wash facilities, mini-malls and other business complexes, shopping malls, hotels, office buildings, public warehouses and other light industrial complexes.
Floodplain Development Permit means any type of permit that is required in conformance with the provisions of this ordinance, prior to the commencement of any development activity.

Stormwater management facility means a control measure that controls stormwater runoff and changes the characteristics of that runoff including, but not limited to, the quantity and quality, the period of release or the velocity of flow.
Agreement Area means the area to which this NSHA applies, being the land and waters described in Schedule 3.
Renewable energy facility means an electric generation unit or other facility or installation that produces electric energy using a Renewable Energy Source.
Development Area means that area to which a development plan is applicable.
Non-transient non-community water system means a public water system that is not a community water system and that regularly serves at least 25 of the same persons over 6 months per year.
Redevelopment Area means the community redevelopment area described, defined or otherwise identified or referred to in the Redevelopment Plan.
Urban renewal project means undertakings and activities of a municipality in an urban renewal area for the elimination and for the prevention of the development or spread of slums and blight, and may involve slum clearance and redevelopment in an urban renewal area, or rehabilitation or conservation in an urban renewal area, or any combination or part of them in accordance with an urban renewal plan. These undertakings and activities may include:
Nontransient noncommunity water system means a public water system that is not a community water system and that regularly serves at least the same 25 persons over 6 months per year.
Redevelopment Contract means this redevelopment contract between the Authority and Redeveloper with respect to the Project.
Energy facility means an energy plant or transmission
Service commitment area means a medically underserved Iowa city with a population of less than 26,000 that is located more than 20 miles from a city with a population of 50,000 or more. Each applicant participating in the program must contract with the service commitment area to ensure the service commitment area provides a nonrefundable $2,000 contribution for deposit in the rural Iowa advanced registered nurse practitioner and physician assistant trust fund. Payment of the nonrefundable contribution to the trust fund can be made by, but is not limited to, the following organizations: community agencies, hospitals, medical groups, municipalities, community foundations, local government entities, or other community entities. Locations and distances between cities will be consistently measured and verified by calculating the straight-line distance between main post offices.
