Continuing Students have already satisfied the orientation requirement.
A new or returning student’s initial placement, within a POP, is determined by the lowest valid score, as defined by the test manufacturer’s guidelines, from all NRS approved assessments taken within the first three days.Continuing StudentsStudents are classified as Continuing Students if they have not separated for at least 90 consecutive calendar days, but continue from one program year to the next.
Continuing Students Registration ProceduresThere are two steps to registration: signing up for courses and paying or arranging for payment of outstanding accounts.
Continuing Students Continuing students who have been issued a passing grade in all courses in the previous academic year, and who are not granted a status of “Leave”, “Withdrawal”, “Suspension” or “Dismissal” by August 1, will automatically be enrolled in thesucceeding academic year.
Subsequent CBCs and DSs will be required prior to participation or continuation in experiential education courses if the most recent CBC and DS is more than one year old (See Continuing Students).

What are the steps to enroll my child in high school ESL classes?For Continuing Students Coming from Middle School:The middle school and high school ESL staff meet to discuss appropriate high school ESL/English class placement for each EL student and the recommendation is given to the student and his or her parents/guardians and to the middle school and high school counselors before scheduling for the new year.

Changes to Fees in respect of Continuing Students will be limited to the greater of the annual change in the Retail Price Index or 5% per annum.1.4 Where a student changes their mode of attendance (from part time to full time or vice versa) they will not be considered a Continuing Student and the fee for a new student in the year the student’s mode of attendance is changed will apply.
