Cooperative Research definition

Cooperative Research means those projects covered by federal Protection of Human Subjects policy2 which involve more than one institution. In the conduct of cooperative research projects, each institution is responsible for safeguarding the rights and welfare of human subjects and for complying with the policy.
Cooperative Research. A study involving two or more U.S. sites where each site is conducting a different part of a research protocol under the direction/control of the lead Principal Investigator. This may also be called collaborative research. An example is a study where WCM researchers are conducting the interaction/intervention with participants, but the analysis of identifiable data/biospecimens is being done by an external institution/collaborator.
Cooperative Research means any activity carried on under this Implementing Arrangement between the Participants.

  • Each Party acknowledges and agrees that this Agreement is a “joint research agreement” as contemplated by 35 U.S.C. § 102(c), and that all Inventions are intended to have the benefit of the rights and protections conferred by the Cooperative Research and Enhancement Act of 2004 (the “CREATE Act”).

  • The Parties acknowledge and agree that this Agreement is a “joint research agreement” as defined in the Cooperative Research and Technology Enhancement (CREATE) Act of 2004, U.S. Public Law 108-453.

  • Licensee shall not invoke the Cooperative Research and Technology Enhancement Act of 2004, as set forth under Title 35, Section 102(c) of the United States Code (the “CREATE Act”), in connection with the prosecution of patent applications owned or controlled by Licensee, and with respect to the Patent Rights or any other patent rights or subject matter owned or published by or on behalf of Elkurt, without first obtaining the prior written consent of Elkurt in each instance.
