Direct Responsible Charge definition

Direct Responsible Charge means accountability for and performance of active, daily, on-site operational duties.
Direct Responsible Charge or “DRC” means on-location accountability for, and on-location performance of, active daily operation (including Technical Supervision, Administrative Supervision, or Maintenance Supervision) for a Wastewater Facility, an operating shift of a system or a facility, or a major segment of a system or facility.
Direct Responsible Charge or “ (DRC)” means, where shift operation is not required, accountability for and performance of active, daily on-site operation of athe plant or distribution system, or of a major segment of athe plant or distribution system. Where shift operation is required, “DRCdirect responsible charge” means accountability for and performance of active, daily on-site operation of an operating shift, or a major segment of athe plant or distribution system. A city manager, superintendent of public works, city clerk, council member, business manager, or other administrative official shall not be deemed to have DRCdirect responsible charge of a plant or distribution system unless thatthis person’s duties include the active, daily on-site operation of athe plant or distribution system. On-site operation may not necessarily mean full-time attendance at athe plant or distribution system.

  • The MOA shall assign an employee to perform the duties of working Direct Responsible Charge (DRC) when the regularly assigned working Leadman is on leave or unavailable to perform their duty for at least two (2) hours, unless operational needs make the assignment unnecessary.
