Fire Officer definition

Fire Officer. For the purposes of ISAC's rules, this term means a firefighter who is employed by, or in the voluntary service of, this State or any public entity in this State.
Fire Officer means the State Fire Marshal, the state fire marshal's deputies, the fire chief or fire marshal of any county, city, or town fire department, the fire officer of any fire district or special service district organized for fire protection purposes is the AHJ.
Fire Officer means a person employed by the authority who has the functions of fire prevention and fire control, and includes a person employed by the authority who is undergoing training as a fire officer.

  • A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience; A minimum of three years of service with the District and 2) has completed the Districts Captain career development program and/or has a CSFM Fire Officer Certificate.

More Definitions of Fire Officer

Fire Officer means a current member of an organized fire department or public safety department assigned a rank above firefighter who is responsible for, or is in a capacity that includes responsibility for, performing supervisory or management responsibilities of an emergency or nonemergency nature within his or her organized fire department or public safety department.
