OVERTIME SERVICE. All assigned, authorized, or approved service outside of an employee’s regularly scheduled tour of duty or work shift (other than paying police details), work week, or hours of work, including service on an employee’s scheduled day off, or during his/her vacation and service performed subsequent to the scheduled time for conclusion of his/her regular work shift or tour of duty, and including court time as set forth in Article XI, hereof shall be deemed overtime service and shall be paid as such. However, part time employees shall not receive overtime pay unless such service is in excess of 8 hours on the day on which it is performed or in excess of 40 in the week it is performed. Any non-emergency overtime must first be approved by the Chief of Police or the officer in charge in writing. Overtime service shall not include: A. An out of turn work shift or tour of duty which is substituted for a regularly scheduled work shift or tour of duty at the request of the employee (subject to department approval). B. Swapped tours of duty or work shifts between individual employees by their own mutual agreement (subject to department approval).
OVERTIME SERVICE. OVERTIME SERVICE is energy consumed at all other hours than WORKING HOURS ("OVERTIME HOURS"). For the purpose of OVERTIME SERVICE, the Demised Premises may be separated into zones of use. The minimum practical size of these zones is 2500 square feet. Zones less than 2500 square feet will be billed at the rate applicable to 2500 square feet.
OVERTIME SERVICE. All assigned, authorized or approved hours of work or portions thereof outside of an employee’s regularly scheduled work shift, except as specifically excluded below, shall be deemed overtime service, except that no person on educational leave or travel status shall be deemed to be on overtime status or eligible for overtime pay irrespective of the number of hours involved.
OVERTIME SERVICE. All assigned, authorized or approved service outside or out of turn of an employee's regular scheduled tour of duty, other than paid police details, including service on an employee's scheduled day-off, or during his/her vacation, and service performed prior to the scheduled starting time of his/her regular tour of duty, and service performed subsequent to the scheduled ending time of his/her regular tour of duty, including court-time as set forth in Article 22 of this Agreement, shall be deemed overtime service subject to the following rules: (a) If duty requires an employee to work beyond the normal ending time of a scheduled tour of duty: 1. the first fifteen (15) minutes of such service shall not be deemed overtime service. The City agrees that this provision shall not be used as a basis of discrimination against or punishment of any employee; 2. if an employee works more than fifteen (15) minutes but thirty (30) minutes or less of such service he/she shall be deemed to have performed one-half (1/2) hour of overtime service; 3. if an employee works more than thirty (30) minutes of such service, such overtime service shall be rounded off and paid to the next quarter (1/4) hour. (b) Overtime service shall not include: 1. an out-of-turn tour of duty which is substituted for a regular scheduled tour of duty by mutual agreement between the Department and an employee; 2. swapped tours of duty between individual employees by their mutual agreement and subject to command approval; 3. a change in the schedule of an employee who is shifted from one platoon to another platoon or from one tour of duty to another tour of duty for a period of fourteen (14) or more consecutive calendar days, or a change in the schedule of an employee who is shifted from one platoon to another platoon or from one tour of duty to another tour of duty for a period of less than fourteen (14) consecutive calendar days if for the purpose of In-Service Training, returning a prisoner to the City's jurisdiction or for an employee's appearance at hearing(s) as a defendant on charges pursuant to M.G.L., c. 31, s. 41. (c) An employee who has left his/her place of employment or last duty assignment after completing a regular tour of duty and is recalled to his/her Unit/Division, or to any other place, or an employee so recalled on a scheduled day-off or during his/her vacation, shall be paid on an overtime basis for all such time and shall be guaranteed a minimum of four (4) hours of overtime rec...

OVERTIME SERVICE. 1. Overtime service will be performed by extra drivers, whenever possible. Unless the extra board at a division is depleted, run operators will not be used in overtime service. 2. Run operators may be allowed to work overtime service beyond the provisions above by performing service before or after their runs. Such service will be restricted to the operation of trippers. 3. Drivers who lay off for any reason during the calendar week will ‘not be used in any overtime service during that week, until all other operators have been exhausted. 4. Regular operators required to work outside of their regular assignment shall be paid time and one-half (1-1/2); provided, however, run exchanges which are worked outside of a regular assignment shall pay overtime only to the extent that hours actually worked (platform time) in the exchange run do not coincide with the time worked (platform time) in the regular assignment and for time worked outside of his/her regular assignment. Pursuant to this section an operator shall earn no less than his/her regular assignment pay and the applicable overtime pay as indicated above. 5. An extra operator who receives a run assignment will be considered a run operator for that day. An extra operator who bids a hold-down will be considered a run operator for the duration of the hold-down, except that a junior extra operator who bids an open position on the Santa Xxxx or Novato Board, and then bids a hold-down, will not be permitted to complete the hold-down in the event, of a reduction in board strength which affects them. 6. Regular operators who work regular scheduled runs shall not be required to do extra work except in cases of emergency where blockades, fires or acts of God require extra service. When equipment is on the road and the relief fails to show, relief will be made as soon as possible and must be made within one (1) hour after District is notified. 7. A Run Operator may swap two work days for another Run Operator’s two days off. The swap must be based on a voluntary agreement between two Run Operators and be authorized by the Director of Bus Operations or his/her designee. Swaps are subject to the following limitations: A. The District will not arrange or cancel swaps for employees. B. The appropriate forms must be completed by both employees and be approved by the District.
