Frontage Zone definition

Frontage Zone means the area between the Through Pedestrian Zone and the property line, as defined by the Portland Pedestrian Design Guide.
Frontage Zone means the area adjacent to the property line where transitions between public sidewalk and the space within building occurs.
Frontage Zone means the area for outdoor seating and display, as well as signage. This zone can either be public or private property, but this Pilot does not allow for Electric Kick Scooters to be parked in this zone;

  • Building interfaces such as building components, Outdoor Amenity Spaces, signs, displays, and related interactive components may be permitted by special permit from the PEDB on the Public Frontage Zone when they contribute to vibrant spaces for the enjoyment of the public and do not interfere with the 5-foot minimum Walkway Zone.

Frontage Zone means the sidewalk area between the Through Zone and the front of the adjacent property/building which may accommodate pedestrian oriented activities.
Frontage Zone means the area where the façade of a building is located fronting the street and the space immediately adjacent to the building where doors, street display of goods and sidewalk dining may be located.
Frontage Zone means an area located between the pedestrian zone and the front, or side in the case of a corner lot, building façade or build to line, designated for entering and exiting buildings without creating conflicts with other pedestrian traffic.

If a sidewalk is six feet wide or less, the pedestrian clear zone is the entire width of the sidewalk.
