Gable Roof definition

Gable Roof means two pitched roofs back to back forming a triangular roof as illustrated below:
Gable Roof means a ridged roof forming a gable at both ends of the Premises.
Gable Roof means a double sloping roof with a ridge and a triangular wall section, i.e. a gable, at each end, bounded by the two roof slopes.

More Definitions of Gable Roof

Gable Roof means a triangular wall section at the end of a pitched roof, bounded by the two roof slopes. See Figure 1.
Gable Roof means a ridged roof forming a gable at both ends of the building. Gambrel Roof means a gable roof with two slopes on each side, the lower slope steeper than the upper slope. Garage Sale means the use of any lot, building or structure, or part thereof, for the sale of household goods by an occupant of a dwelling unit, on the same lot as the dwelling unit. Garden Centre means the use of any lot, building or structure, or part thereof, for the retail sale of trees, shrubs or plants, and which may include the accessory sale of soil, planting materials, fertilizers, lawn and garden tools, ornaments, and similar materials. Garden Suite means a detached residential building containing one dwelling unit that is accessory to a principal residential building and that is designed to be portable. Gasoline Pump Island means a building or structure, or part thereof, for the dispensing of vehicle fuels including gasoline, diesel, propane and natural gas but does not include a kiosk or any other accessory building. Golf Course means the use of any lot, building or structure, or part thereof, for the purpose of playing golf and may include accessory uses such as a restaurant, driving range, the sale of golf equipment, or a banquet hall. Gravel Pit means the use of any lot, building or structure, or part thereof, for open excavation made for the removal of any soil, earth, clay, marl, sand, gravel or unconsolidated rock or mineral in order to supply material for construction, manufacturing or industrial purposes, but shall not include an excavation incidental to the development of a building or structure for which a building permit has been granted by the City, or an excavation incidental to the construction of any public works. This definition includes a wayside pit or wayside quarry. Gross Floor Area means the total floor area of all floors of a building or structure above finished grade, measured between the outside of the exterior walls or between the outside of exterior walls and the centre line of party walls dividing the building from another building, but excluding:
Gable Roof means a roof having a gable at one or both ends.

The perimeter is measured at the interface of the imported fill material and in-situ soil. On sloping sites, only the area down-gradient from the up-slope edge of the distribution media may be included in this calculation.

  • Semi-private Room means a single or two-bedded, or a room with maximum double occupancy and with a shared bath / shower room in a Hospital but excluding any room of upper class with its own kitchen, dining or sitting room(s).

  • Lot Frontage means lot frontage as defined in Town's Zoning By-law No. 1136 (1987), as amended, or any successor thereto.

  • Tight-fitting facepiece means a respiratory inlet covering that forms a complete seal with the face.

  • industrial premises means any place or premises (not being a private dwelling house), including the precincts thereof, in which or in any part of which any industry, trade, business, occupation or manufacturing is being ordinarily carried on with or without the aid of power and includes a godown attached thereto;

  • Shopping Centre means a grouping of commercial retail outlets which have been designed, developed and managed as a unit by a single owner or group of owners or tenants located on the same lot or lots with a frontage not less than 45 metres and having common on-site parking;

  • Interior lot means a lot other than a corner lot.

  • Private road or driveway means every way or place in private ownership and used for vehicular travel by the owner and those having express or implied permission from the owner, but not by other persons.

  • Natural area means an area of the rural or non-urban environment which is in an unspoilt natural state or is of high scenic value, and includes, but is not limited to, national parks, game reserves, nature reserves, marine reserves, wilderness areas, areas of extensive agriculture and scenic areas.

  • Commercial building means a non-residential building other than an agricultural building, an industrial building or an institutional building.

  • Outer burial container means any container which is designed for placement in the ground around a casket or an urn including but not limited to containers commonly known as burial vaults, urn vaults, grave boxes, grave liners, and lawn crypts.

  • Water Surface Elevation (WSE means the height, in relation to NAVD 1988, of floods of various magnitudes and frequencies in the floodplains of riverine areas.

  • Urban renewal project means undertakings and activities of a municipality in an urban renewal area for the elimination and for the prevention of the development or spread of slums and blight, and may involve slum clearance and redevelopment in an urban renewal area, or rehabilitation or conservation in an urban renewal area, or any combination or part of them in accordance with an urban renewal plan. These undertakings and activities may include:

  • Water surface elevation means the height, in relation to the National Geodetic Vertical Datum (NGVD) of 1929, the North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988, or other datum, where specified, of floods of various magnitudes and frequencies in the floodplains of riverine areas.

  • Modular building means, but shall not be limited to, single and multifamily houses, apartment

  • Access Road means Kuchha road connecting excavating pit to mine approach road.

  • Special area means a sea area where for recognized technical reasons in relation to its oceanographical and ecological condition and to the particular character of its traffic the adoption of special mandatory methods for the prevention of sea pollution by oil is required. Special areas shall include those listed in Regulation 10 of this Annex.

  • Uppermost aquifer means the geologic formation nearest the natural ground surface that is an aquifer, as well as lower aquifers that are hydraulically interconnected with this aquifer within the facility's property boundary.

  • Condominium Corporation means a condominium or strata corporation established under Provincial Legislation.
