Index Companies definition

Index Companies means companies that are included in the S&P Healthcare Equipment Select Industry Index as of the beginning of the Performance Period, with the following adjustments:
Index Companies means equity office REITs in the NAREIT (or comparable replacing) index, excluding the Company if it is a member of such Index.
Index Companies means the companies included in the SNL Small Cap U.S. Bank Index (a) that are NYSE, NYSE Market and NASDAQ-traded commercial banks and (b) that had assets between $2 billion and $10 billion as of December 31 of the year immediately preceding the commencement of the applicable Performance Measurement Period. If an Index Company becomes bankrupt, delisted or is acquired during the applicable Performance Measurement Period, such Index Company shall be removed for the entire Performance Measurement Period and will not be replaced.

More Definitions of Index Companies

Index Companies shall have the meaning ascribed thereto in Section 8.01(e) hereof.
Index Companies means the companies included in the FTSE Nareit Equity Shopping Centers Index; provided, however, that if the common stock of any such company ceases to be listed on a nationally recognized stock exchange at any time during the Performance Period, then that entity shall be excluded from the Index Companies.
Index Companies means the companies included in the NASDAQ Biotechnology Index, but specifically excluding the Company, as of the first day of the applicable Performance Period.
Index Companies means, as of a particular date, the companies comprising the SNL Apartment REIT Index which, as of the Grant Date, consists of the companies listed on Appendix B hereto; provided that no such company will be deemed an Index Company if such company ceases to have a class of common equity securities listed on a national stock exchange during the entire Performance Period.
