Informal Observation definition

Informal Observation means a documented observation that is not required to be pre-scheduled.
Informal Observation means observations of a teacher, principal, or assistant principal by a qualified evaluator that are not announced in advance of the observation and not subject to a minimum time requirement.
Informal Observation means observations of a teacher by the principal qualified to conduct evaluations that are not announced in advance of the observation and not subject to a minimum time requirement. Evidence gathered during the informal observations may be considered in determining the performance evaluation rating, provided it is documented in writing.

Examples of Informal Observation in a sentence

  • First Year, Category I, and Category II EMPLOYEES shall receive a minimum of one Informal Observation in each semester.

  • During the 5th year of the first and subsequent 5-year Formal Evaluation Cycles, there will be an evaluation process which consists of a Pre-Evaluation Conference, one Formal Evaluation, at least one Informal Observation, and a Final Evaluation.

  • Negative feedback to be used in the evaluation shall be documented and communicated to the Teacher within two (2) days of the Informal Observation.

  • Any data collected during the walkthrough that will be used as evidence on the rubric must be placed on the Informal Observation General Form in Appendix A.

  • For those unit members currently on the 5-year Formal Evaluation Cycle, during the 3rd year of the 5-year Formal Evaluation Cycle, the site administrator will conduct at least one Informal Observation.


More Definitions of Informal Observation

Informal Observation means classroom observation of a 10 unit member by an Evaluator of a duration not to exceed 11 fifteen (15) minutes.
Informal Observation means any non-scheduled observation during which evidence is gathered by an evaluator to inform a teacher's final evaluation.
