Life Event definition

Life Event when used in this Agreement shall mean:  Marriage or cohabitation with a common-law spouse for a continuous one-year period;  Birth, adoption or change in custody of a dependent child;  Divorce;  Legal separation or the ending of a common-law relationship;  Death of a spouse or dependent child;  Loss of a spouse’s or dependent child’s coverage under the spouse’s employers’ plan;  Dependent no longer qualifies as a dependent under the plan; or,  Spouse becomes eligible for benefits that are at least equivalent to the coverage provided under the City’s plans.
Life Event means the event of the life of a person or an unborn -

Examples of Life Event in a sentence

  • If an employee waives medical coverage, the employee can elect it again during the next Open Enrollment or midyear upon a permitted Qualified Life Event.

  • If an employee does not submit the form and proof by the end of the employee’s enrollment period, the employee will be enrolled in medical coverage, with the next opportunity to waive coverage during Open Enrollment or upon a permitted Qualified Life Event.

  • If an ASF Member does not submit the form and proof by the end of the ASF Member’s enrollment period, the ASF Member will be enrolled in medical coverage, with the next opportunity to waive coverage during Open Enrollment or upon a permitted Qualified Life Event.

  • If an ASF Member waives medical coverage, the ASF Member can elect it again during the next Open Enrollment or midyear upon a permitted Qualified Life Event.

  • If an employee waives medical coverage the employee can elect it again during Open Enrollment or midyear upon a permitted Qualified Life Event.

Life Event when used in this agreement shall mean:
Life Event when used in this agreement shall mean: ▪ Marriage or cohabitation with a common-law spouse for a continuous one year period, ▪ Birth, adoption or change in custody of a dependant child, ▪ Divorce, ▪ Legal separation or the ending of a common-law relationship, ▪ Death of a spouse or dependant child, ▪ Loss of a spouse's or dependant child's coverage under the spouse's employer's plan, or ▪ Dependant no longer qualifies as a dependant under the plan.
Life Event means the Grantee's death, Disability (as defined in the Plan), or Qualified Retirement. For purposes of this Agreement, a “Qualified Retirement” shall occur upon the Grantee's voluntary resignation from the Company or any Related Entity (as defined in the Plan), provided that on the date of the Grantee's voluntary resignation, Grantee is sixty-five (65) years or older and the Grantee has been continuously employed by the Company or any Related Entity for five (5) or more years. With such percentage to be calculated as a number of Shares equal to the product of: (a) the Shares, and (b) the quotient of: (x) the number of days the Grantee remained an Eligible Person since the Grant Date, if the Life Event occurred less than one year after the Grant Date, or since the most recent anniversary of the Grant Date, if the Life Event occurred a year or more after the Grant Date; and (y) 1,460, rounded down to the nearest whole Share; and

Life Event means, and is limited to a Participant's marriage or divorce; the death of a Participant's spouse or child; the birth or adoption of a Participant's child; or the termination of employment of the Participant's spouse; a change in employment status from full-time to part-time (or vice versa) by the Participant or the Participant's spouse; taking of an unpaid leave of absence by either the Participant or the Participant's spouse; or a significant change in the Participant's health benefits coverage, or of such coverage related to the spouse's employment.
