Long Term Disability Leave definition

Long Term Disability Leave means any leave of absence allowed under the applicable Business Benefit Plan or International Benefit Plan or provided for under applicable Law, including any governmental statutory benefit plan or policy, program or agreement, in each case which provides benefits or compensation to Employees who experience a long term disability and are impaired from performing their regular job duties for the Seller or its Subsidiaries (including any Transferred Entity) prior to the Transition Period.

  • When an Employee has been on General Illness for eight (8) weeks or longer, or Long Term Disability Leave and is able to return to work and capable of performing the full duties and hours of their position, shall provide the Employer with fourteen (14) days written notice of their readiness to return to work.

  • Periodically these files are retrieved as students return to the program or as information is needed for various reasons.

  • Employee’s on Long Term Disability Leave (LTD) would not be entitled to receive 109.5/104 hours respectfully in a new fiscal year while on LTD, but upon return to work would accrue prorated wellness leave amount for time worked/available and therefore requirement for 60% payout of wellness leave balance at end of fiscal year would also be prorated based upon hours worked available.

  • However, seniority shall accrue for employees on leave due to child care responsibilities as per Article 11.3 and for those employees on Worker Compensation, Short Term and Long Term Disability Leave.

Related to Long Term Disability Leave

  • Long-Term Disability means the Grantee is receiving long-term disability benefits under the Employer’s long-term disability plan.

  • Short-Term Disability means short-term disability as defined in the Corporation’s short-term disability plan.

  • Disability/Disabled means because of Injury or Sickness you are unable to perform the material duties of your Regular Occupation, or are receiving disability benefits under the Employer's plan, during the initial 9 months of Disability. Thereafter, you must be unable to perform all of the material duties of any occupation which you may reasonably become qualified based on education, training or experience, or are subject to the terms of a Rehabilitation Plan approved by the Insurance Company.

  • Disability means total and permanent disability as defined in Section 22(e)(3) of the Code.

  • Disability retirement for plan 1 members, means the period

  • Pregnancy disability means a pregnancy-related medical condition or miscarriage.

  • Total Disability means a “permanent and total disability” within the meaning of Section 22(e)(3) of the Code and such other disabilities, infirmities, afflictions or conditions as the Committee by rule may include.

  • Disability or Disabled means that during the Elimination Period and your Own Occupation Period you are, as a result of Physical Disease, Injury, Mental Disorder, Substance Abuse or Pregnancy, unable to perform one or more of the Material Duties of your Own Occupation, and, due to such inability, your Work Earnings are less than 80% of your Indexed Predisability Earnings, and you are incapable of earning 80% or more of your Indexed Predisability Earnings.   • Recurrent Disability means a Disability caused by an Injury or Sickness that is the same as, or related to, the cause of a prior Disability for which Monthly Benefits were payable. A Recurrent Disability will be treated as follows.

  • mental disability means one or more mental disorders, as defined in the most recent edition of the American Psychiatric Association's "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders", or a record of or regarding a person as having one or more such disorders;

  • Disability Termination means termination by the Company of the Executive’s employment by reason of the Executive’s incapacitation due to disability. The Executive will be deemed to be incapacitated due to disability if at the end of any month the Executive is unable to perform substantially all of the Executive’s duties under this Agreement in the normal and regular manner due to illness, injury or mental or physical incapacity, and has been unable so to perform for either (i) three consecutive full calendar months then ending, or (ii) 90 or more of the normal working days during the 12 consecutive full calendar months then ending. Nothing in this paragraph alters the Company’s obligations under applicable law, which may, in certain circumstances, result in the suspension or alteration of the foregoing time periods.

  • Child with a disability means a child who, by reason of any of the following, needs special education and related services:

  • Disability Retirement Date means the first day of the month following the last day of paid employment;

  • Qualifying Termination of Employment means a Participant’s Termination of Employment (i) by the Company without Cause or (ii) by the Participant with or without Good Reason or by reason of Retirement.

  • Disability Date means the date on which a Participant is deemed disabled under the employee benefit plans of the Corporation applicable to the Participant.

  • paternity leave means a period of absence from work on leave by virtue of section 80A or 80B of the Employment Rights Act 1996;

  • Permanent total disability means incapacity because of accidental injury or occupational disease to earn any wages in any employment for which the employee may become physically suited and reasonably fitted by education, training or experience, including vocational rehabilitation; loss of both hands, or both feet, or both legs, or both eyes, or any two thereof, shall constitute permanent total disability;

  • Disabled or Disability means Disabled or Disability within the meaning of Section 409A of the Code and the regulations thereunder. Generally, this means that the Participant is unable to engage in any substantial gainful activity by reason of any medically determinable physical or mental impairment which can be expected to result in death or can be expected to last for a continuous period of not less than 12 months, or is, by reason of any medically determinable physical or mental impairment which can be expected to result in death or can be expected to last for a continuous period of not less than 12 months, receiving income replacement benefits for a period of not less than three months under an accident and health plan covering Employees of the Employer.

  • Partial Disability or "Partially Disabled" means you, as a result of Injury or Sickness, are able to:

  • Permanent partial disability means a permanent disability

  • Developmental disability means that condition defined in RCW 71A.10.020(5);

  • Complete Disability as used herein shall mean the inability of Employee, due to illness, accident, or other physical or mental incapacity, to perform the services required under the Agreement for an aggregate of ninety (90) days within any period of 180 consecutive days during the term hereof; provided, however, that disability shall not constitute a basis for discharge for cause;

  • maternity leave means a period during which a woman is absent from work because she is pregnant or has given birth to a child, and at the end of which she has a right to return to work either under the terms of her contract of employment or under Part 8 of the Employment Rights Act 1996;

  • Physical disability means a severe, chronic condition that is attributable to a physical impairment that results in substantial limitations of physical functioning in three or more of the following areas of major life activities: self-care, receptive and expressive language, learning, mobility, self-direction, capacity for independent living, and economic self-sufficiency.
