Merit Increase definition

Merit Increase means an increase in the rate of pay of an employee within the employee’s pay range which may be granted in recognition of satisfactory service on the employee’s anniversary date.
Merit Increase. An adjustment to individual salary based on a documented assessment of performance.
Merit Increase means an increase in the rate of pay for an employee of at least one step within the salary range, but not exceeding the maximum for the classification.

More Definitions of Merit Increase

Merit Increase or “MI” is defined in section 63.12;
Merit Increase means an increase in the rate of pay of an employee within the employee’s pay range which may be granted in recognition of satisfactory service on the employee’s anniversary date. The initial anniversary date of an employee shall be established as the first of the month which follows the date on which the employee is covered by this Collective Agreement. The effective date for an employee’s merit increase shall be the first day of the bi-weekly pay period which includes the employee’s anniversary date. An employee must be in the classification on the employee’s anniversary date in order that the merit increase shall take effect at the beginning of the bi-weekly period that includes the said anniversary date. Where the pay range for an employee’s classification permits, an employee shall be eligible for a merit increase review twelve (12) months from the employee’s anniversary date established in accordance with this Article provided the employee has accumulated 1,000 regular hours of work during that preceding twelve (12) month period. Where an employee has not accumulated 1,000 hours in accordance with I 6:04, he shall be eligible for a merit increase review upon the completion of 1,000 regular hours. Where an employee is granted a merit increase in accordance with I 6:05:
Merit Increase means an increase from one step to a higher step within a salary range for the same classification as described in a compensation plan based on meritorious job performance.
Merit Increase means an increase in the rate of pay of an employee within the employee’s pay range which may be granted on the employee’s anniversary date where the pay range for an employee’s classification permits, an employee may be eligible for a merit increase twelve (12) months from the employee’s anniversary date subject to the following. (a) Provided the employee has accumulated 1,008 regular hours of work (“hours of work” includes Vacation and Union leave but is exclusive of overtime and any other paid time off during that twelve (12) month period). If an employee has not accumulated 1,008 regular hours during that twelve (12) month period and as a result has not received a merit increase, the employee is eligible for a merit increase at the employee’s next subsequent anniversary date twelve (12) months hence provided the employee has accumulated 1,008 regular hours during the preceding twenty four (24) month period. In a similar manner an employee who has not accumulated 1,008 regular hours over the preceding twenty four (24) month period is eligible for a merit increase at the employee’s next anniversary date following the accumulation of 1,008 regular hours; and (b) Satisfactory service shall include, but not limited to a consideration of the employee’s job performance, attendance at work, safety and working towards a positive environment for residents of the Care Home
Merit Increase. The Company will endeavor to develop a merit increase program within 3 years. In the interim, employees may receive a merit increase, on sole discretion of WFC.
