Operable Unit 1 definition

Operable Unit 1 or “OU 1” shall mean the Little Lake Butte des Morts reach of the Lower Fox River, as delineated by the Record of Decision signed by WDNR and EPA in December 2002 (Dkt. 439-12). More specifically, OU 1 is the portion of the Lower Fox River (and the underlying River sediment) starting at the outlet of Lake Winnebago at the Neenah Dam and the Menasha Dam downstream to the Upper Appleton Dam, including sediment deposits A through H and POG.

Operable Unit 1 or "OU1" shall mean the Little Lake Butte des Morts reach of the Lower Fox River, as delineated by the Record of Decision signed by WDNR and EPA in December 2002. More specifically, OU1 is the portion of the Lower Fox River (and the underlying River sediment) starting at the outlet of Lake Winnebago at the Neenah Dam and the Menasha Dam downstream to the Upper Appleton Dam, including sediment deposits A through H and POG. As so defined, OU1 is depicted in Figure 7-9 of the December 2002 Final Feasibility Study for the Site, a copy of which is attached hereto as Appendix G.

Operable Unit 1 or “OU 1” shall mean those portions of the Town of Pines Superfund Site where contamination of groundwater from the disposal of CCRs at Yard 520 have or may have come to be located. Work associated with OU 1 includes but is not limited to groundwater and residential drinking water well monitoring north and east of the North area of Yard 520 and west of the main branch of Brown Ditch.

More Definitions of Operable Unit 1

Operable Unit 1 or “OU1” shall mean the outfall ditch which is currently a discharge ditch that formerly conveyed untreated wastewater containing toxaphene from the former Hercules Brunswick plant to Dupree Creek. OU1 is located across U.S. Highway 17 from the former Hercules facility, which is located at 2801 Cook Street, Brunswick, Georgia, 31520. OU1 is approximately 2.5 acres, located at approximate latitude 31.1166083 and longitude 81.472483 and is depicted generally on the map attached as Appendix A.

Operable Unit 1 or “OU-1" shall mean response action undertaken in connection with the Record of Decision relating to the Site issued by EPA on or about March 22, 1985.

Operable Unit 1 or “OU1” shall mean contamination generally beneath and emanating from the former BAE Facility and shall include any property where such contamination has come to be located. See Figure 2, Appendix A for an approximate location of the contamination.

Operable Unit 1 or “OU1” shall mean the contaminated area associated with Town of Aberdeen supply wells #5 and #9.
