Partial Hospitalization Treatment Program definition

Partial Hospitalization Treatment Program means a Hospital’s planned therapeutic treatment program, which has been approved by your Participating IPA or Participating Medical Group or Substance Use Disorder Treatment Facility for the treatment of Mental Illness or Substance Use Disorder Treatment, in which patients Treatment in which patients spend days.   • Partial Hospitalization means an outpatient program specifically designed for the diagnosis or active treatment of a serious mental disorder when there is a reasonable expectation for improvement or when it is necessary to maintain a patient’s functional level and prevent relapse or full hospitalization.
