Periods of Secondment definition

Periods of Secondment has the meaning set forth in Section 2(d).

Examples of Periods of Secondment in a sentence

  • Upon the termination of any Seconded Employee’s Periods of Secondment, the primary employer of such Seconded Employee will be solely liable for any costs or expenses associated with the termination of the Secondment, except as otherwise specifically set forth in this Agreement.

  • Unless otherwise specifically agreed in writing by the Parties, the Secondment Provider shall have the right to designate which of its employees shall provide Seconded Services to the Secondment Recipient during any Periods of Secondment.

  • Subject to Section 5(b)(ix), the MLP shall reimburse Oasis for 50% of the amount of the workers’ compensation and employer’s liability insurance premiums relating to the Seconded Employees with respect to their Periods of Secondment and Oasis will pay from its own funds the balance of the amount due of such insurance premiums.

  • For the purposes of workers’ compensation and employer’s liability laws and coverage, Oasis and the MLP will be joint employers of the Seconded Employees during their respective Periods of Secondment.

  • To the extent that the Tesoro Group and the Logistics Group should have separate Benefit Plans for any employees, then the Secondment of the Tesoro Seconded Employees shall not cause the General Partner or any member of the Logistics Group to be deemed to be a participating employer in any Benefit Plan of any member of the Tesoro Group during the Periods of Secondment.

  • For the avoidance of doubt, the Parties acknowledge that the Seconded Employees may, during their respective Periods of Secondment, be called upon to perform services for both the MLP and Oasis.

  • In the course and scope of performing any Partnership Seconded Employee’s job functions, the Partnership Seconded Employees will report into such entity’s management structure, and will be under the management and control of the applicable Tesoro Group entity during the Periods of Secondment in which such Seconded Employees are providing Tesoro Services.

  • At all times during the term of this Agreement, Oasis will maintain workers’ compensation and employer’s liability insurance (either through an insurance company or qualified self-insured program) which shall include and afford coverage to the Seconded Employees during their respective Periods of Secondment.

  • In the course and scope of performing any Tesoro Seconded Employee’s job functions, the Tesoro Seconded Employees will report into the General Partner’s management structure, and will be under the management and control of the General Partner during the Periods of Secondment in which such Seconded Employees are providing Logistics Services.

  • Periods of Secondment to a Specified Education Sector Agency will not count towards service in a school that will be recognised for refreshment leave.

Related to Periods of Secondment

  • Period of Severance means a continuous period of time during which an Employee is not employed by the Employer. Such period begins on the date the Employee retires, quits or is discharged, or if earlier, the twelve (12) month anniversary of the date on which the Employee was otherwise first absent from service.

  • Years of Service means the total number of full years in which a Participant has been employed by one or more Employers. For purposes of this definition, a year of employment shall be a 365 day period (or 366 day period in the case of a leap year) that, for the first year of employment, commences on the Employee's date of hiring and that, for any subsequent year, commences on an anniversary of that hiring date. Any partial year of employment shall not be counted.

  • Grandfathered Service means service which is no longer available for new customers and is limited to the current customer at their current locations with certain provisioning limitations, including but not limited to upgrade denials, feature adds/changes and responsible/billing party.

  • Period of Service means the aggregate of all periods of service commencing with an Employee's first day of employment or reemployment with the Employer or an Affiliated Employer and ending on the first day of a Period of Severance, or for benefit accrual purposes, ending on the severance from service date. The first day of employment or reemployment is the first day the Employee performs an Hour of Service. An Employee who incurs a Period of Severance of twelve (12) months or less will also receive service-spanning credit by treating any such period as a Period of Service for purposes of eligibility and vesting (but not benefit accrual). For purposes of benefit accrual, a Participant's whole year Periods of Service is equal to the sum of all full and partial periods of service, whether or not such service is continuous or contiguous, expressed in the number of whole years represented by such sum. For this purpose, fractional periods of a year will be expressed in terms of days.

  • transition year means the financial year of an issuer or business in which the issuer or business changes its financial year-end;

  • Affiliated Employer means any corporation which is a member of a controlled group of corporations (as defined in Code Section 414(b)) which includes the Employer; any trade or business (whether or not incorporated) which is under common control (as defined in Code Section 414(c)) with the Employer; any organization (whether or not incorporated) which is a member of an affiliated service group (as defined in Code Section 414(m)) which includes the Employer; and any other entity required to be aggregated with the Employer pursuant to Regulations under Code Section 414(o).

  • Vacation Year means the twelve (12) month period commencing on the first (1st) day of April in each calendar year and concluding on the thirty-first (31st) day of March of the following calendar year.

  • Service employee, means any person engaged in the performance of this contract other than any person employed in a bona fide executive, administrative, or professional capacity, as these terms are defined in Part 541 of Title 29, Code of Federal Regulations, as revised. It includes all such persons regardless of any contractual relationship that may be alleged to exist between a Contractor or subcontractor and such persons.

  • Fixed term employee means a person engaged for a specified term or for the duration of a specified task in accordance with section 37(3)(b) of the State Service Act 2000.

  • Compensation Period has the meaning specified in Section 2.12(c)(ii).

  • Fixed-term employment means employment for a specified term or ascertainable period. The contract for this employment will specify the starting and finishing dates of that employment, (or in lieu of a finishing date, will specify the circumstance(s) or contingency relating to a specific task or project, upon the occurrence of which the term of the employment shall expire).

  • Compensation Year means a period of 12 months expiring 31 March in any year;

  • Affiliated employee means any individual employed by a recipient who receives compensation directly from government assistance or a contract with the District of Columbia government, including any employee of a contractor or subcontractor of a recipient who performs services pursuant to government assistance or a contract. The term “affiliated employee” does not include those individuals who perform only intermittent or incidental services with respect to the government assistance or contract, or who are otherwise employed by the contractor, recipient or subcontractor.

  • Regular Part-Time Employee means an employee who is appointed to a regularly scheduled position but works less than full-time. A regular part-time employee is entitled to all benefits outlined in the agreement on a pro rata basis, except where otherwise specified.

  • Secondment means temporary employment of staff by a beneficiary with the right for the staff to return to the previous employer;

  • Termination Year means the calendar year in which the Employment Period is terminated.

  • Ongoing employee means an employee who has been employed for at least one complete standard measurement period.

  • Period of Agreement means 5 years from the date of Final acceptance of the Project.

  • Seasonal employment means the employment of 1 or more individuals primarily hired to perform services during regularly recurring periods of 26 weeks or less in any 52-week period other than services in the construction industry.

  • Related Employer means the Employer and (a) any corporation that is a member of a controlled group of corporations as defined in Code Section 414(b) that includes the Employer and (b) any trade or business that is under common control as defined in Code Section 414(c) that includes the Employer.

  • Leased Employee means any person (other than an Employee of the recipient Employer) who, pursuant to an agreement between the recipient Employer and any other person or entity ("leasing organization"), has performed services for the recipient (or for the recipient and related persons determined in accordance with Code §414(n)(6)) on a substantially full time basis for a period of at least one year, and such services are performed under primary direction or control by the recipient Employer. Contributions or benefits provided a Leased Employee by the leasing organization which are attributable to services performed for the recipient Employer shall be treated as provided by the recipient Employer. Furthermore, Compensation for a Leased Employee shall only include compensation from the leasing organization that is attributable to services performed for the recipient Employer.

  • Continuing Employee has the meaning set forth in Section 6.7(a).

  • Year of Service means the computation period of twelve (12) consecutive months, herein set forth, during which an Employee has at least 1000 Hours of Service.

  • Newly hired employee or “New Hire” means any employee, whether permanent, full-time, or part-time, hired by the Office and who is still employed as of the date of new employee orientation. It also includes all employees who are or have been previously employed by the Office and whose current position has placed them in the bargaining unit represented by CSEA. For those latter employees, for purposes of this article only, the “date of hire” is the date upon which the employees’ employment status changed as such that the employee was placed in the CSEA unit.

  • Production Period is the period that for winter cereal advances commences October 1, 2021 and terminates September 30, 2023; for advances on all other field crops, honey, hogs, goats, sheep and lambs commences April 1, 2022 and terminates September 30, 2023; and for advances on cattle, continuous flow cattle, and bison commences on April 1, 2022 and terminates on March 31, 2024.

  • Payroll Period means "payroll period" as defined in Section 3401(b) of the Internal Revenue Code;
