Prairie Operations definition

Prairie Operations means the thermal coal business of Fording and its holdings of mineral properties, consisting principally of Fording’s operations at Genesee, Whitewood and Highvale, Alberta, its undeveloped resource properties in Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, and the royalties receivable from third parties mining at Fording’s mineral properties at locations in Alberta and Saskatchewan;
Prairie Operations means the thermal coal business of Old Fording. These operations were substantially comprised of Old Fording’s joint venture interest at Genesee, its contract mining operations at the Whitewood and Highvale mines in Alberta and its holdings of mineral properties and rights in Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Pursuant to the 2003 Arrangement, the Prairie Operations were sold to an affiliate of OTPP and Sherritt;
Prairie Operations means the thermal coal mine business of Fording and its holdings of mineral properties and rights that will be purchased by SCPII or an affiliated entity of OTPP and Sherritt as described in the Prairie Operations Term Sheet.   • Business operations means engaging in commerce in any form, including by acquiring, developing, maintaining, owning, selling, possessing, leasing, or operating equipment, facilities, personnel, products, services, personal property, real property, or any other apparatus of business or commerce.

  • Branch operations means any business operations of a branch captive insurance company in this State.

  • Production Operations means all operations conducted for the purpose of producing Petroleum from the Development Area after the commencement of production from the Development Area including the operation and maintenance of all necessary facilities therefor.

(F) "Trade Secret" for purposes of Unit Agreement shall mean information, including, but not limited to, technical or nontechnical data, a formula, a pattern, a compilation, a program, a device, a method, a technique, a drawing, a process, financial data, financial plans, product plans, or a list of actual or potential customers or suppliers that: (i) derives economic value, actual or potential, from not being generally known to, and not being readily ascertainable by proper means by, other persons who can obtain economic value from it is disclosure or use, and (ii) is the subject of reasonable efforts by SunTrust or a SunTrust Affiliate to maintain its secrecy.

  • Restricted business operations means business operations in Sudan that include power production activities, mineral extraction activities, oil-related activities, or the production of military equipment, as those terms are defined in the Sudan Accountability and Divestment Act of 2007 (Pub. L. 110-174). Restricted business operations do not include business operations that the person (as that term is defined in Section 2 of the Sudan Accountability and Divestment Act of 2007) conducting the business can demonstrate—

  • Active business operations means all business operations that are not inactive business operations.

  • Areas of Operations means the locations where PURCHASER performs the operations described in the contract.

  • Drilling operations means the drilling of an oil and gas well and the production and completion operations ensuing from the drilling which require entry upon the surface estate and which were commenced after June 30, 1979, and oil and gas geophysical and seismograph exploration activities commenced after June 30, 1983.
