Preemptible Service definition

Preemptible Service or "Preemptible Transponder" means a satellite service or transponder that is not entitled to restoration in the event it becomes a Transponder Failure and may be preempted at any time to restore: (i) a satellite failure, (ii) a Protected Service or Protected Transponder that becomes a transponder failure, or (iii) other service offerings of EchoStar or any of its Affiliates, including but not limited to mass move protection, construction and launch delay protection and launch failure protection.
Preemptible Service means a Service whose current status is subject to being discontinued, temporarily or permanently, in whole or in part, in favor of one or more Services of a higher priority as determined by Intelsat in accordance with Annex B Service Restoration.

Examples of Preemptible Service in a sentence

  • For each Service Transponder, Customer shall be provided Service in accordance with the protection level stated in the Service Order (e.g., Fully Protected Service, Transponder Protected Service, Non-Preemptible Service, Preemptible Service or Business Preemptible Service), as such protection level is defined and as the restoration rights are set forth in the Service Order.

  • A Preemptible Service will have no rights of Preemption and may be subject to Preemption.

  • Non-Preemptible Service or Non-Preemptible Transponder: A satellite service or transponder that may not be preempted at any time to restore a Protected Service or Protected Transponder, but that is not entitled to be restored by preempting a Preemptible Service or Preemptible Transponder.

  • In addition, in the event that the Preemptible Transponder on C-4 is not available for Customer on January 1, 1997 because of a delay in the Launch of or the Launch Failure of the communications satellite known as "Satcom GE-1" to be operated by GE Americom, GE Americom shall provide Customer with Preemptible Service on the Preemptible Transponder designated by GE Americom for occasional service on Satcom C-1, if such transponder is then available.

Related to Preemptible Service

  • Interruptible Service means service from approved contracts under which Company is not expressly obligated to deliver specific volumes within a given time period, and which anticipates and permits interruption on short notice, or service under approved contracts which expressly or impliedly require installation of alternate fuel capability.
