Preemptible Transponder definition

Preemptible Transponder means a transponder on a satellite that is not entitled to restoration in the event of a transponder failure or a satellite failure and may be preempted at any time to restore (i) a satellite failure, (ii) a service or transponder that becomes a transponder failure and is entitled to preempt a Preemptible Service or Preemptible Transponder, or (iii) other service offerings of SES or any member of the SES Group, including but not limited to mass move protection, construction and launch delay protection, and launch failure protection.
Preemptible Transponder means a Transponder that may be preempted at any time to restore (1) a Fully-Protected Transponder or a Transponder-Protected Transponder which becomes a Transponder Failure or (2) other service offerings of GE Americom, including construction delay protection and launch protection.
Preemptible Transponder means a satellite service or transponder that is not entitled to restoration in the event it becomes a Transponder Failure and may be preempted at any time to restore (1) a satellite failure, (2) a Protected Service or Protected Transponder that becomes a transponder failure, or (3) other service offerings of SES Americom or any of its affiliates, including but not limited to mass move protection, construction and launch delay protection and launch failure protection. *** Certain confidential portions of this exhibit were omitted by means of redacting a portion of the text. Examples of Preemptible Transponder in a sentence

  • Restoration shall be effected if technical and operational circumstances permit, in the following manner and order, on a first-needed, first-served basis: first, by utilizing similar service on any available Replacement Transponder of the same Transponder Class on the provisioned Satellite; and second, if no such Replacement Transponder is available, by using an unassigned or Preemptible Transponder of the same Transponder Class on the provisioned Satellite, if available.

  • If no Replacement Transponder is available, GE Americom shall restore the Transponder Failure by using an unassigned or Preemptible Transponder on that Satellite, if available.

  • Restoration shall be effected in the following manner and order, on a first-needed, first-serviced basis: first, by utilizing any available Replacement Transponder of the same Transponder Class on the Satellite; and second, if no such Replacement Transponder is available, by using an unassigned or Preemptible Transponder of the same Transponder Class and same polarization on the Satellite, if available.

  • Non-Preemptible Service or Non-Preemptible Transponder: A satellite service or transponder that may not be preempted at any time to restore a Protected Service or Protected Transponder, but that is not entitled to be restored by preempting a Preemptible Service or Preemptible Transponder.

  • Customer's service on a Preemptible Transponder may be preempted at any time for the reasons stated in this Article 8.

  • If Customer fails to vacate the Preemptible Transponder immediately after being given Notice of Preemption, GE Americom may, without further notice to Customer, take appropriate action to bring down Customer's signal.

  • In addition, in the event that the Preemptible Transponder on C-4 is not available for Customer on January 1, 1997 because of a delay in the Launch of or the Launch Failure of the communications satellite known as "Satcom GE-1" to be operated by GE Americom, GE Americom shall provide Customer with Preemptible Service on the Preemptible Transponder designated by GE Americom for occasional service on Satcom C-1, if such transponder is then available.

  • Any rights Customer may have to use a Preemptible Transponder shall immediately terminate upon notice from GE Americom stating that such Preemptible Transponder is being preempted ("Notice of Preemption") and Customer shall immediately cease using the service on the Preemptible Transponder.

Related to Preemptible Transponder

  • Transponder means an access device used to gain entry to the parking facility;

  • Available Transfer Capability or “ATC” shall mean a measure of the transfer capability remaining in the physical transmission network for further commercial activity over and above already committed uses.

  • Capacity Interconnection Rights means the rights to input generation as a Generation Capacity Resource into the Transmission System at the Point of Interconnection where the generating facilities connect to the Transmission System.

  • Junior accessory dwelling unit means a unit that is no more than 500 square feet in size and contained entirely within a single-family residence. A junior accessory dwelling unit may include separate sanitation facilities, or may share sanitation facilities with the existing structure.

  • Capacity Transmission Injection Rights means the rights to schedule energy and capacity deliveries at a Point of Interconnection of a Merchant Transmission Facility with the Transmission System. Capacity Transmission Injection Rights may be awarded only to a Merchant D.C. Transmission Facility and/or Controllable A.C. Merchant Transmission Facilities that connects the Transmission System to another control area. Deliveries scheduled using Capacity Transmission Injection Rights have rights similar to those under Firm Point-to-Point Transmission Service or, if coupled with a generating unit external to the PJM Region that satisfies all applicable criteria specified in the PJM Manuals, similar to Capacity Interconnection Rights.

  • Dedicated Transport means CenturyLink transmission facilities between Wire Centers or switches owned by CenturyLink, or between Wire Centers or switches owned by CenturyLink and switches owned by CLEC, including, but not limited to, DS1, DS3, and OCn-capacity level services, as well as Dark Fiber, dedicated to a particular End User Customer or carrier.

  • Capacity Rights means the rights, whether in existence as of the Effective Date or arising hereafter during the Agreement Term, to capacity, resource adequacy, associated attributes and/or reserves or any of the foregoing associated with the electric generating capability of the Facility, including the right to resell such rights.

  • Generator Forced Outage means an immediate reduction in output or capacity or removal from service, in whole or in part, of a generating unit by reason of an Emergency or threatened Emergency, unanticipated failure, or other cause beyond the control of the owner or operator of the facility, as specified in the relevant portions of the PJM Manuals. A reduction in output or removal from service of a generating unit in response to changes in market conditions shall not constitute a Generator Forced Outage.

  • Signaling Transfer Point (“STP”) means a signaling point that performs message routing functions and provides information for the routing of messages between signaling points within or between CCIS networks. A STP transmits, receives and processes CCIS messages.

  • Incremental Available Transfer Capability Revenue Rights means the rights to revenues that are derived from incremental Available Transfer Capability created by the addition of Merchant Transmission Facilities or of one of more Customer-Funded Upgrades.

  • High voltage bus means the electrical circuit, including the coupling system for charging the REESS, that operates on a high voltage.

  • Dark Fiber shall have the meaning set forth in Section 9.7.1.

  • Interruptible Service means service from approved contracts under which Company is not expressly obligated to deliver specific volumes within a given time period, and which anticipates and permits interruption on short notice, or service under approved contracts which expressly or impliedly require installation of alternate fuel capability.

  • Meet Point A point, designated by the Parties, at which one Party’s responsibility for service begins and the other Party’s responsibility ends.
